For me, its not started off at all like any of the previous games, they seemed to throw you into the action straight off, you got to actually do some playing while the story got off to a rushing start, this game hasnt done that to me yet, and this is one of the most important parts of the game.
You have to say that a game really needs a good begining to get things up and running, FF10 starts pretty slow....then with the blitzball scene it gets really good and im starting to think im back in FF, them something strange happens and the game just slowed down again.
Its not all bad, im intrigued to find out whats happening next, and it does seem to be building to something big, its just that, well, i think the graphics may have gone to Squares head at the minute, so far i havent played, i have watched, i hope its starts to improve in that aspect soon.
Got to say though, the graphics and character animations are very nice indeed, but still, a little more play would be nice sometime soon.
stuck on seymour flux. i can get him down to 7000HP and then he does his missile attack thing which kills all but one of my characters.
then he does lance of aprochet thing and full-life whichs spells game over for me.
i've done 42 hours which seems slow but i have trained up my characters a lot. Infact, all my characters are at the end of their routes but i have no lvl3 spheres to move onto someone elses.
hopefully now that i have trained up my characters even more
(auron on 6000HP) i can do this boss and get to zanarkand
any tips on beating him though?
I was on about 25-30 hours when I reached the Calm Lands. I've been doing a lot fo the sub-quests and Blitzball recently, going back to previous areas, capturig fiends and upgrading my characters.
Mind you I thought I was near to the end ages ago but a twist in the plot meant there was plenty left. I can't see how they can continue the story now though.
i haven't gone about finding the secret stuff yet...i'm undecided as to whether i want to do it (cos i'm definitely going to play the game again)
Anyway, where I am at the moment there is a damn hard boss (not the one I mentioned in my last post) and I can't quite kill him. Only a matter of time though.
What's really annoying is that I know where a secret Aeon is but I can't get into the chamber of the Fayth until I have collected the treasure from each chest in each of the 6 temples. I have it in 4 of them but I don't have it in Bevelle or Besaid. I can't get back into Bevelle tog et it, and in order to get into Besaid I have to pass through a damn hard summoner dude who summons 'Dark Valefor'. Kills each of my men with one hit, and occassionally even starts on its overdrive (that kills all my men with one hit). AARRGGH!!
I've gona back to playing Blitzball and boosting my characters at the moment. I've found a really good place where you get loads of ability points. Plus, I have captured that Master Tonberry now so I will upgrade a piece of armor to have Overdrove - AP and then try that thing you mentioned.
I've just reached that summoner guy when you play as Yuna down in the tunnel thingies.
I have just wasted about 45 mintues to an hour of play! I followed a big long path full of many fiends (which I had to fight despite equipping a 'No Encounters' weapon). When I finally reached the end, I could tell the boss of the area was coming up, so I started running back to save it (now that the fiends were out of the way). However, it was a long walk back and I thought that the fiends may only reappear once I had re-entered the area. So I decided to take my chances with the boss and hope I killed him first time. That was my first mistake.
I entered and started the fight with him. It started well - I stole some really good items off him with Rikku and I hit him qith quite a few strong attacks. Then I decided to call Bahuteman (or whatever the hell his name is!) and I did my overdrive which took 60,000 worth of damage. Then I took another 90,000 or so off him with my characters after he killed Bahuteman. Then I came to Yuna. I had the choice of calling another Aeon or attacking with 'Holy'. I thought that since Holy would take away 9999 off him anyway which was just the same as an Aeon overdrive that I'd use Holy. after all, my characters all had over 4,000HP. Yuna was on about 4000, Auron on 8,000 and Tidus on 9000. However, all did not go to plan, as my Holy spell restored 9999HP to him rather than took it away. Then, as my hands went up to my head as I realised my mistake was going to cost me the lives of all my characters, he made his move. I sat in hope. But unfortunately for me, hope sucks! He cast Ultima and it killed all my people. DAMN HIM!
