That's exactly what I am doing now, binning the old PC games I have sinse I won't and probably can't play on them anymore. I think I'll get Resistance in a week or two when I get paid, even though I have enough money to buy it, I've just got myself a GC and 3 games, and I think buying another game now would be too much.

Still, resistance will be the next game I purchase, and being only £20 it won't be that much of a strain on the wallet.

As it happens, I've never won a GAD for a game review. Only ever for posting on these forums.

My first was for an argument I put forward in a consoles vs PCs thread, where I argued that PCs were easilly superior, while consoles were slowly moving to become the "poor mans" PC. I never got to claim it however, as the day before my win was posted up, I discovered Planetarion, and promptly disappeared from the SR forums for a year. =(

My second was pretty much the first thing I posted on my return to the SR forums. It was a thread I started on the future of Online gaming. Basically stating that although the future of the games them selves is bright, what it's impact on society will be is quite threatening.

My third was in the sports forum (of all places), and was due to me ranting about some of the appaling refereeing seen in the world cup, and how top level football needs the introduction of playback footage for the ref's reference.

My fourth, and most recent was my attempt to explain a feeling I had recently. All to do with the direction we are headed as a species.

The only one I would consider an attempt at winning a GAD was the online gaming one, but it wasn't a great thread, and was probably awarded a GAD to make up for the one I never claimed...
