Yep that's right, there's been scores of these starting up, but all have failed. Let's make this thread a place for PC gamers to chat. Post anything you like in here, comments, reviews, but no spam please.

OK, lets keep this going gamers. For beige box and country!!
Or something like that. :)

this is just a place to talk about random PC stuff, constantly hopping topics.

We save serious discussion for individual threads.

Oh right, I've seen these longest threads before and they are just filled with spam. Maybe I'm mistaken? I have found the post count, It's just usally its by the name instead of clicking stats.

It's just a place to chat about anything and everything in the forum of your choice.

And there is a post counter on here, clever cloggs.

What IS the point in these longest threads? There is no post counter, so you can't get your post count up so whats the excuse?

Just checked on the SR database for the DVD box set I bought and Lo! and Behold! it's not there! Which is a pity since they were made in the UK by LWT (now defunct)it's a British plot with British Actors (+ the odd Yank, Aussie, etc)and was a British 6 Part TV series several years back. So how come I can only buy it in the USA?

If you're interested it's called "A Piece of Cake" based on the novel of the same name by Derek Robinson. Early WWII fighter pilot thingy starting with the 'Phoney war' in France and finishing at the conclusion of the battle of Britain. Mega stuff if you're into that sort of thing!

Anyway, can't review it so even if I was at my eloquent best would not get a GAD! It is just a shame that when we produce something that is, in my view, excellent, here in good old blighty the only place we can access it is in the States.

And I had to pay Vat on the import which is a bit of a cheek since we sent it over there in the first place, but I have to say it was worth it! I think in total it cost me about £35 for a 3 DVD box set lasting approx 6 Hours and I can play it on my ordinary DVD rather than having to joggle about with my computer DVD settings!

Good job we don't have the same problems with PC Games.... or do we?

Star Trek: Away Team is supposed to be similar in concept to the X-Com games, but it's real time, and not turn based.

I do like turn based games though.

Anyone ever play Star Trek: Birth of the federation?

Heh, I remember that game, but I only ever played a demo of it. It seems like ages since I last saw it or indeed played it. I wonder what happened to that other x-com game, the FPS style one which was getting hyped up allot a few years ago?

Meh, I think they should bring back the turn based style x-com games, much more fun.

that said, I've just got back into X-Com Apocolypse (absolutely classic game) and I'll probably play that for a few weeks now.

Yeah, clone wars is looking ace, a pity it's coming out for a while. Medieval should tide you over until it's release though, it looks like a huge game, and fun as well.

thing is, the title I'm looking forward to on GC at the moment is Clone Wars, and it's a while off yet.

Might just claim a PC game for now, and assume that I can win another GAD in time for the clone wars release ;)
