OK, lets keep this going gamers. For beige box and country!!
Or something like that. :)
I'm on a mission now where I can get really far, until I killed by a tank or minefield, forcing me to start the whole bloody level again. Frustrating doesn't even begin to describe how this makes you feel.
Anyway, I'm up to my third GAD now on a review I did for Operation Flashpoint. I'm happy with that, as Flashpoint is one of my all time favourite games on the PC right now.
Little Hobbo
Insane: Off-road racing, great physics and damage model with acceptable graphics. £5
TOCA 2: One of the all-time classics from Codemasters, unique handling and a lot of fun. £5
Thief 2: Innovative use of stealth and combat to create an absolutely sizzling game, immense value. £5
Sam and Max hit the road/Day of the tentacle: Two examples of true classics, the humour is astounding, Lucasarts at their best. Positively antediluvian graphics though. £13
Not a bad bunch really, eh?
Don't worry Big Jim, I will return eventually. And IB.......what can I say? I at least respected you with a decent handle like Insane Bartender, what's the latest scummy name for? How's it going Cipro? Still upholding egalitarianism amongst gamers? ;)

As for recommending some decent flying Sims, well I won't be much help to you there. I did like this genre a while ago, but the games just became too realistic to be any fun, so I gave up on them.
Still, you might want to try Microsoft's Crimson Skies, which is a very enjoyable flight sim. It's set in a fantasy 1930s with giant airships and strange looking planes rule the skies. It's more of an arcade style game, but it works great with a joystick, very easy to use and quite fun as well. Certainly one to look into anyway I'd say.
Just invested in Battle of Britain, had to buy a joystick as well but have thoroughly enjoyed crashing my spifire for most of this evening, wizard prang, what? My biggest problem is not reading the booklet first, I just want to get straight in there and start bashing Jerries! Trouble is I took the same attitude with an Ikea dining table and I've now got 2 bird tables and a Rabbit hutch!
Anyway a bit of advice from some of you more experienced gamers now I've got me a Joystick. What games????? (and if your answers don't get the count up I suspect Insane Bartender will get very cross!)
