The only thing I would really fault about the controller is that the yellow buton is quite hard to reach sometimes...
I noticed that today while trying to swap guns while playing Halo!
Oh, I'm half way through the beach level on Heroic now!
I'm well good!
"Somebody order a Warthog?" says the woman.
"ME! ME!! I shout while jumping up and down!

I think you'll all agree, that without them, games today would be a lot less interesting.

As surprising as you may find it, there were many consoles before Nintendo ever entered gaming. And they most certainly did not invent the analogue stick. Atari had analogue sticks years before Nintendo released their first console.
Atari were making games consoles in the mid-to-late 70's. The first analogue joysticks appeared on the Atari 5200 - which ceased production in 1983 - two years before Nintendo ever released a console.
There was a videogame market "crash" in the mid-80's, and the NES was the first successful console after that. But in no way did the invent videogames. I don't disagree that Nintendo have done a lot for the gaming world, but let's make sure we don't credit people for things the never did, eh?
