what u think?

Yup, but the X-Box still has that little bit extra in console power. The N64 and PS1 had the power to make great graphics and games, the 3 new consoles are still better at the graphics and sound part though.

I owned a PS2, I play PC games round my friends pretty often and I owned a GC.
I just ended up deciding that I was going to stick with just the X-Box for now because I only need that one console to get the games I want.
> Why because its not the GC that has the power?
All three consoles have the power to create great graphics and games.

I have seen many X-Box graphics and games, just not pre-releases, which I don't really think should count. On comparison, I think you'd have to be quite fussy and particular to think the X-Box graphics are much better than the PS2's. It's like people who can really spot a difference between VHS and DVD, Surround Sound and Normal Sound, Pepsi Max and Pepsi.
It's just fussiness! The graphics are so similiar (fact) that it should never be a deciding factor for the three consoles.

Depends what games you're playing. Surround sound would probably be practically useless in something like Mario Sunshine. On a game such as Halo however, it can greatly change the quality with you hearing things like the debris raining down when a grenade goes off and where explosions are coming from.
> No. Have you seen the graphics on the likes of GT3?
Yes. So overall this puts me in a better position than you to see the difference doesn't it.

> It's hardly the difference you noticed with, say, the PSOne and N64.
Stating fact - it does help when you've seen a few games to compare doesn't it. PS2 could never pull off the visuals in games such as Steel Battalion, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Halo 2 and DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball for example. Also you'd have to be blind not to see the difference in graphics between DOA2 on PS2 and DOA3 on X-Box. Bear in mind that DOA3 didn't even use a quarter of the X-Box's graphical power - and it shows when you see Halo 2.

All the games I have already mentioned better GT3 on the PS2. Project Gothem Racing let itself down a little an could have looked better, but Project Gothem Racing 2 is look a lot better and Lamborghini has better graphics than GT3 too. It might be only a minimal part of a game, but why enjoy a playable game in an ugly world when the world can look just as amazing as it plays ?
