Why don't we all gang up on the Sony forum? :D

Ok. It was both of us.

You're basically contradicting yourself because if it's Gamecube that is disadvantaged TOUGH CRAP, but if X box is being beaten then it isn't fair Boo hoo!
:D
Plus for those that find the standard X-Box pad too big, the smaller Controller S will be out from November 1st.
Think I need to sit down after reading your post Tilt - certainly wasn't the first thing I was expecting to read.
The Xbox has a lot better future than the PS2, Xbox is only just getting started while PS2 is yesterdays news. PS2 may be selling more but when you look at the consoles gameswise there's really no contest.
I think I need to sit down, I just did a pro Xbox post, my God it must have been something I ate.
Please note these comments are coming from a Ninty.

I don't don't like Halo, if you get what i mean, i have played the co-operative level with the jeep where you have to take down the ship, aliens. Level 2, i think. In my opinion it is not as good as i thought it would be, and Halo and a few others are the only titles worth getting. Also while we're on the subject of the amount of games on each console, it isn't a fair comparison towards Gamecube as it has only been out since may.

And in my opinion, the X-Box will have the best games because it shares most of Sony's top titles while having excellent exclusives such as Halo, Toejam & Earl 3, the DOA series and Ninja Gaiden. Plus, have you actually looked at the date of the original post ? You do realise its old and the original poster probably isn't even looking at this now.

Actually after 2 years, the PS2 has pretty much filled its potential. X-Box is just starting to show what can really be done with it. So in your theory, knowone should buy the likes of an X-Box or GC because PS2 managed to get out first and scramble a shed load of games out ?
Or do things magically change for the GC with patience becoming a virtue ? Just remember that there are less games on the GC than the X-Box both now and coming in the future when you make a statement like that.
And before you try the "but all Nintendo games are wonderful" crap, bear in mind I can easily match a list of what can be considered decent games on the X-Box to a list of GC ones. Feel free to list titles available right now or even a list of future releases.
At the end of the day, we have different tastes of course, but neither can deny when a game is considered top quality by many people. You might not like Halo but have to concede that its a high quality game whereas I have to do the same on games like Mario Sunshine.

Granted, but no doubt the two versions will be very similar anyway.

Is that really relevant? This person wants to know which console has the best games, and regardless of whether or not it's had a head start, the PS2 wins in this area.
Sure, it's an unfair comparison, but when it comes down to it, both consoles have a great potential, leaving the back catalogue to complete the decision. I think you'll agree, that the Playstation 2 is centre stage in that department.
