I'm sure we had one of these before, but as we've got nowhere else on the forums for general game chat, here it is....

I can't remember the first game too well so not sure how it compares but there does seem to be a lot of opportunity to approach things in various ways. The items to find are certainly scattered about and not so simple to get to. Sometimes there is an open window which is easy to miss but others are behind doors which I've yet to be able to open.

I'm trying to stay relatively focussed on this play through as wandering off seems to cause me more issues with trying to stay hidden. I think I've done it the wrong way though, should have done the high chaos playthrough first.

When I'm finally allowed to play it, I'll probably do one run where I just see how it goes. Might be a little chaotic, but I shan't worry too much about that for the first attempt.

Then I'll go back and obsess about not being seen. Seemed to work for me through the first game...

Which character did you pick for your first run?

There's a lot of room for "I wonder if..." in the Dishonored universe apparently. I wondered a lot of things in the first game, and successfully attempted a whole load of them (failed dismally on just as many). Found the side missions a lot harder than the main game too, often those resulted in the untimely death of not so innocent by-standers.

Could happen to anyone. I think one of my kills was more experimental. I knocked out my victim, picked him up and decided to see if I could drop him over the railing. It seems I could do and then there was a splash.

Chapter 4 complete and without killing my target. Back to less frustrating times in chapter 5. I really do have to commend the enemies on their response times though. Before I can finish saying "Ooops I have been spotted", I have 3 of them on top of me.

My favourite "Whoops" moment from the first game was knocking a guard out with a sleep dart only for him to be overrun with plague rats and eaten alive...

Appealed greatly to my macabre sense of humour. Made my wife worry she'd married a lunatic. Happy days...

My obsession with keeping the chaos low is what spoils it all more. I can't seem to accept a kill even though my kill count is not 0. This leads to a lot of reloading. But it can also be satisfying. In an earlier section I went from being ambushed to using sleep darts to eventually slipping past completely unnoticed. This has not proven to be so straight forward in The Clockwork Mansion. I'm sure I'll enjoy it all the more on my high chaos play through.

There's a level like that in almost every game in my experience. Not sure what happens, it's like the devs have a brainstorm and try to fit everything possible into a single area...

As long as it doesn't mar the overall experience too much, all's good (I'm sure that it's there to intentionally get you frustrated, to get you to make some kills and noise!).

Might have spoke too soon about Dishonored 2. Level/chapter 4 seems to be a favourite going by internet opinion but I'm really not enjoying it. Perhaps it is just down to trying to make this playthrough one of low chaos but the Clockwork Mansion has become a chore.

Mission 3 - sneaked through like a ghost. No alerted enemies, no dead enemies. Roughly a million reloads to get that far but that is hardly the point. Really enjoying this.

Just like the first one then.

Sneak... sneak... sneak... Whoops, spotted! Kill Kill Kill...

I wouldn't have it any other way though.
