I was going through the archive earlier and came across Turbo’s Web Design Pledge. Although I can vaguely remember this when it happened, I thought nothing of it, but upon reading it again, something really caught my eye.

“However, the forum is just being "used". Where as forums like the FOG are ever-popular, with people visiting regularly and generally having fun, the Web Design forum is merely being "used" for question and such like. Well, no longer! I want to turn this forum into a proper community.”

He is right here, this forum is only really used by people wanting questions answered, but I think that this forum is probably the best on the site. Mainly because nearly everyone in here knows what they are talking about. But I don’t like how the forum is used just for questions.

So here is what I propose, we use this thread for general chat. Not just web design, anything at all. Since not many people pass through this forum anymore, it won’t get spammed up too much, it’ll just be a place where people can go to be themselves.

If it doesn’t work, then fine. I just think this thread will be able to make this forum more of a community.

So… what’s up everyone? :0)

What games?? .... I want all of them :) i'm not gonna buy anything on the launch date, i'm going to wait a week or two, then i'm hoping to buy a few games, SSB:M and Luigi's Mansion definatly, I think they'll keep me company until more games are released, but i'mactually quite happy playing my PCs games at the mo, so games arn't a problem.

Think about it though, the only redeming feature XBox gamers have found so far about the console is that it has a DVD Player, everyones being very nasty about the GC because it plays DVDs but not Film DVDs, which is a shame, but i'd rather spend more money on a better quality DVD player, I think it's a great idea that you can't pirate the games, good ol' Nintendo.

Recently, I've being using my PS2 more as a DVD player. It's an extremely useful feature to have :D.

I'm not sure if the console would be shunned if it didn't have them, but it has sure helped to make it successful.

Anyway, you're getting a GC. What games are you planning on getting?

Yeah I think backwards compatability is easily the PS2s best feature, that and the fact it's a DVD player, without those the console would be shunned.

Meh, I couldn't sleep this morning, but went back to bed at about 11. Sort of nursing a mini hangover this morning, just taking it easy listening to Crows. My first day back at school tomorrow, not looking forward to getting up at 7:30...

I hope everyone else is fine.

I've had my PS2 for *thinks* about a year now. I'm one of the tools that paid £299 for one and looking back, it wasn't a very good decision. I got SSX as soon as I got my PS2 and that kept me occupied for a very long time :). But if I ever got bored of my games, I could always start a new game on Final Fantasy 7 :D.

Madden games do seem a little weird, I liek Football games but then i've only ever played a few, I like all the tricks you can do, but I think games like that Beckham game, where they only really think about one move (free kick) then it kinda ruins it, well, I doubt anyone bought that game anyway, but just an example.
It's the same with every game though you always try and find out all the little tricks you can do with your players/characters, I remeber spending hours on Perfect Dark trying to find the best way to make the enemy bleed, sounds like i'm disturbed but it was fun, and with a mate (co-op missions are gggrrrreeeaaaaatttt!)
1080* Snowboardig is also a very good game for this, I think it's the timed ircuit where you can take as long as you want to complete the race with unlimited health on your board, you can just go up walls and jump down them, do backflips...etc, I really like that game.

Anyway, how long have you had your PS2?

and if you really want a pic of me, just remebered I put some on my very old site...includes one with me and my 'beard' and what a crap beard it is, (btw, I shaved that off, it's grown back much nicer..) I bet thats made your day.

I don't know what it is about Madden games, but I like them. Maybe it's the satisfaction I get when I cripple the opposing teams quarter back :D.

I like Pro Evolution Soccer for obvious reasons, I'm a big fan of football and this is the best football game I've played on. The only game that contends with this is Championship Manager, but they are two different types of games. I've got renewed interest in Pro Evolution recently because I unlocked the Dutch Classics. Been trying to do one of those volleys with Van Basten for weeks now :).

Everyone is uploading pics of thereselves, I'll have to try and blag the use of our digi camera in school...
