I appreciate that this is totally unacceptable but we are not simply sitting around doing nothing about this. We are working to get service back as quick as we can but cannot give a definite time.
What can be done to rectify this?
I would appreciate your help or advice on explaining this issue..
Hi Sarah and welcome to the forums.
Don't change anything at your end your problem is all to do with the current outage.
Visit the Status Page and retry your email when the services are showing as running/green.

It's worse than a w****'s pants!
Server: 'mail.freeola.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10060
Since yesterday I have been unable to send or receive email messages for my windows live email account. The connection with freeola's incoming server has failed and also the socket 10060.
I have two different laptops that use this freeola account both were working 3 days ago and now both have the exact same error.
How do we get freeola to turn the sockets back on or get our incoming server working?
What can be done to rectify this?
I would appreciate your help or advice on explaining this issue..
Thanks,
Sarah
I see some providers have managed to switch 'IP transits' are these things you can explore?
I've spent most of this week (trying to) explain to people it's not directly a Freeola issue but as you can imagine it's not easy...
