Nintendo have to cut prices and/0r add a free killer game, like they did with the Mario/Goldeneye N64s.
They have to do it before Christmas, or else they'll take a pounding.

What, more expensive than a PS2, which costs more?

Not to me. £160.00 down the drain, it would be.

Indeed :).

In all honesty, there's nothing that the X-Box can do that the GameCube can't that interests me. I certainly wouldn't say no to one, but to me, it's the most expensive console out there.
We all have our opinions.
I see. And why should it be banned? Because it isn't made by Nintendo?
since xbox has taken over the second place my gamecube isnt working that great and my xbox has gained migical powers and now the games are out of this world.
Doesnt matter what the sales are the consoles are casically the same idea..play games.

Exactly.
And thats why Microsoft will rule the gaming industry eventually.
Even if everyone hated it, they'd just pay off developers to make games for it.
Shame really.
How concerned are those of you that own an X-Box about its replacement following so closely after the first machine? Traditionally when the new toy arrives support for the old one dries up pretty quickly - playstation 1 has fared a little better but had a MUCH larger installed user base.
I'm still not sure whether to pick up an X-Box dirt cheap next year or to just hold out for the sequel.
