They already have.

Can't remember when it was, but something was created to stop the XBox from working exactly like a virus on a PC.

ROFL if that happens.

That would be the BEST news ever to me.

That would really shut crap into Microsoft's mouth.

'Oh, please buy Norton Special Edition XBox for £39.99'

I can't wait, it will be the best news ever when the XBox rucks off the shelves. I might go and live in Japan for now :-D

Nothings all good.

Hackers for example. I don't care what Microsoft say, hackers can and will get into X-box Live.

Xbox live sounds all good.

But then again, the console sounded good before they released it.

Microsoft promises are about as good as a chocolate teapot.

It's a poll from America, where X-box Live has already started. GC is online with PSO and I beleive the PS2 is now too.

And seeing as the X-box has sold more than the GC in America, you could assume that more of them were X-box owners then GC owners.

The ripping audio thing sound cool. I would love to do that, no doubt about it.

Perfect dark. If that goes online with Xbox it will be something special. Not sure if it is though.

The games are not appealing to me on the Xbox at the moment and I have a PS2 and GC. I need no more. I wouldn't mind though :-)

The audio thing sounds the best. Really cool.

Totally agree sonic. Also with X-box having not so many votes, and since you havnt told us the source this could have easily been made up or came from a gamecube website for example, you must state the source!

I hate gamecube (or ps2) owners saying X-box has nothing for them!
Halo & Halo 2
DVD and Hard disk allowing you to rip audio cd's to it to make your own soundtracks in your games!
Isnt the GTA series coming to Xbox?
Xbox live, that voice masking feature looks awesome, speaking and your voice changing to alien, dragon whatever.
Rare, perfect dark and the like.
Built in broadband modem!
It has the backing of microsoft behind them. (Good in the sense that thats billions of dollars being pumped into it, bad in the sense of daddy gates!)
Tonnes more awesome games to come in the future!...

I have a gamecube, for all its great nintendo games.
I am going to have an Xbox for online play, and some more great unique xbox only games.
PS2, maybe i'll get one in the future.

Another example to prove how stupid this survey is. Suppose, form the REAL results that the number of people taking part was this:

Xbox owners:768
GC:4962
PS2:1206
More than one:537
TOTAL: 7473

Then the ACTUAL results are:

100% of Xbox and PS2 gamers are going online

19.2% of GC gamners are going online

100% of the people with more than one console are putting more than one console online.

The moron who made the survey doesn't understand maths. The results they have shown have NOTHING to do with the percentage of gamers from each console going online!

A few points about this survey.

Firstly, how are people going to go online with their console in the next couple of months. Are there going to be online gaming networks around for all these consoles in the next 2 months? Remind me when we're getting the GC modem?

Secondly, what is the source of this survey?

Oh, and the survey is HUGELY flawed! Suppose we had a survey like this where 100 people voted. 50 own a PS2, 25 a GC, 10 an Xbox, and then the rest are PC gamers. Suppose EVERYONE says they are going online. Then the results are:
50% of PS2 gamers are going online
25% of GC gamers are going online
10% of Xbox gamers are going online.

When, in fact, 100% of all the gamers are going online. The IDIOT who made the survey took the percentages out of the TOTAL response, and not as a percentage of the video game owners. What if only 768 xbox gamers took part in the survey? Then 100% of Xbox gamers are going online. What an idiot!

Moving on, ALL big online games in JAPAN need a subscription. PSO, FF11 etc will need you to subscribe. That does not happen over here.

Well ive been paying £15 so far for normal internet use, but now im using it a lot more im getting broadband.
This is costing around £30 a month and £85 to install.
The £30 i can cope with as it will be worth it, and the £85 is ok cause ill be using it a lot.

I dont see ppl getting it installed just to play games htough, no matter how good, i wouldnt.

But for the lucky of us with it i think only a small amount will get it UNLESS, it is extremely cheap, it would be better to pay when you go online instead of every month as the games that go online will tire and you wont go on it much after you get bored.
