Will you be going online with your consoles in the next couple of months?
Yes, on the GameCube 12.74% 952
Yes, on the PlayStation2 16.14% 1206
Yes, on the Xbox 10.28% 768
Yes, on more than one 7.19% 537
No, not this year 53.66% 4010
TOTAL VOTES 7473
Less people are going online with the X-box then the GC!?
> The Xbox will KICK the other consoles behinds online.
Then compare them. I fail to see what's so great about X-Box LIVE compared to PS2 Online, excluding the price difference [which doesn't really matter anyway].

Some of BT's policies are very odd. As many of you know, I work in telecoms. In Europe, you are required to have a digital ISDN line to get ADSL. In England you have to have your ISDN line removed before you can get ADSL. Crap indeed...
BT are crap.
:-D

NO! All I'm saying is that the survey is completely wrong - it does not show that only 10% of people with an Xbox are going online: it shows that 10 % of people surveyed, with or without and Xbox, are going online. Clearly a stupid survey.
My example of 100% of xbox owners going online was just that- an example of what the stats could me saying.

Other than Rare, Xbox live is my chief reason for wanting an Xbox.
The only reason why I might not get one is that I seem to be going off gaming altogether...
Considering a lot of people in the UK can't even get broadband access, your being a bit presumptuous arne't you?
A reckon at least 40% of X-box owners never go online with it.

Lol... in fact the ONLY statistic we can draw from the results is that, supposing people are truthfully answering, then over 10% of the people who read the site are Xbox owners. And that is LITERALLY ALL that we can deduce! Thos idiots!
Anyway, all this poll means that little more than 10% of the sites viewers are Xbox owners. MS's online plans are big.
Although they don't quite have the games yet, they have the service and network in place to neatly place the games on and offer the greatest possible performance.
Halo 2 will be a BIG hit.
Nintendo's online service will be interesting because they'll most certainly try something different, but I expect MS won't be without their surprises.
It turns out that Nintendo had asked Rare to devellop a few clever online games, which are being ported to the Xbox.
Also, MS seem to be gaining more support from Sega by the day.
Still, Nintendo still have the upper hand on offline content.
1) This survey is hugely flawed. Although I've explained this before, let me do it more simply.
They survey DID NOT find that only 10% of Xbox owners are going online. What it actually found is that 10% of the people surveyed (INCLUDING those WITHOUT xboxs) were going online with ONLY their xbox. This means that the survey is counting non-xbox-owners as xbox owners, and not counting people who are going online with more than one console as an xbox owner. Simply: the people who did the survey don't know any maths!
2) The Xbox has no more chance of getting a virus than, say, a PS2 with a HDD. And if you want to play FF11 you HAVE to have a HDD! The console, like every single other console of modern time, uses it's own OS (except the Dreamcast that could use windows CE as well... but not even that was attacked by viruses).
As for Xbox live being attacked by Hackers... ANY ONLINE GAMING COMMUNITY CAN BE ATTACKED BY HACKERS - WHAT'S YOUR POINT?! After all, they're just interactive web sites!
