The service will the games won't IMO.
Pokemon online will be so damn good.

Thats not true.
The Xbox will KICK the other consoles behinds online.
I dislike the XBox because Microsoft have eaten there way into a market they shouldn't deserve to be in at all. They buy out small companies and desperately bid on large ones in an attempt to create a monopolising front in the industry. With this in mind, if successful, Microsoft would kill gaming and everything would be like the film 1984.
However, I do notice that the console itself has potentional and I would give it a good rest and stop shouting if Microsoft stopped buying out all independent production companies in America from sheer budget and power (says it everyday on the Bloomberg).
Thats my reasoning. I own one and I do enjoy playing the couple of games I have. I also will enjoy playing it online. SO hush.

Nope, Sony have a four year contract with Rock Studios.

The PS2 is the must have console! It's online service will smash the X-Box's into oblivion and it has the best games by a long shot. How about Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty, Final Fantasy X, Deus Ex, Stuntman, Burnout 2: Point Of Impact, The Getaway and Tomb Raider: Angel Of Darkness?
It's definitely worth getting over an X-Box.

These patches will be noticeable, just like they are on the PC where you 'need' the latest patches to play most games over the web. And these patches aren't installed magically onto you're computer by nice developers, you have to download and install them yourselves.

Look you fool, my point was, without a harddrive it's virtually impossible to hack into a Gamecube online. You'd have to actually either change whats on the game disc, or put some sort of chip in your cube that could somehow let you mess with the online settings. Either way it won't happen much.

Ha!
Hang-on, let me just check something...
....
Hmmm...18Mb worth of security patches for Windows XP!! They haven't managed to elimenate hacking on windows in 10 years, what makes you think they can for X-box Live?
No computer or network is infallable.

Why thankfully? If all GC online games become infested in hackers or whatever what are you gonna do then?
As for the hacking side of things, if there is a problem Microsoft will just release security patches that will download so quick it will be un-noticable.

Youve no idea how very immature and anoying you are, completely careless for the millions of Xbox owners, hoping there console online becomes infested in hackers and they have to invest in an antivirus.
Why have you so much hatred for a console for christ sake?
Channel your hatred towards bill gates not the Feckin' xbox.
Hang on, do you work for Game?
If you do it explains a lot.

WHICH IS A GOOD THING.
