Well it isn't looking very good for you on launch day then is it Damo. Two of us told that we will be getting one on the 24th, and they had no information for you. But i suppose the next couple of days after launch day isn't that bad...........!
I have also had it confirmed by Woolworths (as well as Sony) that each retailer is getting an allocation of PS2's on launch day. So that kills off the idea of "first come, first served" put forewards by sony doesn't it.
There is also a rumour going round that only 25,000 PS2's will be released on launch day, and that preferential treatment will be given to PSX registered users.
I don't know how much truth is in the above information, but seeing as i have been quite accurate so far with my info, please take heed.
If you find out different, please let me know.
Its the right number or you can try 0990 998877, they will tell you when to expect your machine. Mine is to be collected from retailer on launch date. Letters are in the process of being sent out.
Where did i put they holiday request form !!!
Anyway, roll on that glorious day when we can pick up our machines and get playing those games.
I was, and what a day it's been - again! Still, enough about work...

Well, it's sort of paid for... the wonder that is the credit card, if you know what I mean! :-)

I think we'll all be okay in that respect. Even if there had been a problem, the delay with the machine itself would have given them plenty of time to make thousands of discs.
The guy in my Game store said to pre-order as many games as I wanted from the list of launch titles they had; it was just to make sure they had enough, and if I changed my mind, it wouldn't matter as they'd have no trouble selling them to someone else.
I am unfortunately!!! I did not pay for mine in full so my bank balance will be looking decidely unhealthy at the end of November (but at least it is only 6 days before payday).
I share your opinion that there should be loads of games and I hope there is as I dont want to be forced to buy somthing below par just so I have something to play. I pre-ordered some games from GAME too but as you said they took no deposit so I dont know how reliable that pre-order is. Also I might change my mind at the last minute and want to buy a game that I have not pre-ordered.
