At first I was enjoying myself, the graphics where amazing and the puzzles seemed simple but okay. I'm starting to realise though why it got such low marks, it stupidly linear, the majority of puzzels are pathetically simliar and extremely simple. It's like Zelda for retards...not just your normal retard though these would have to be super, super retards. Sometimes i've got stuck because I find myself looking into the puzzle to much when actual fact I should be looking for a stupid symbol on the wall, absoloute ar$e.
I games where rated on graphics then this would be the best game of the year, unfortunatly they're not and I agree with Digitiser this deserves 2/10, not because it's THAT bad, it's bad but not THAT bad but because Rare should have done so much better, they've proved they can before so what in Gods name possessed them when they where making this steaming pile of toss I realy don't know.
Oh and this is coming from someone who loved DK64 and thinks Banjo Tooie is one of the best games ever.
I'll play the game to the end just because, but it'll be going back as soon as I finish it.
Or is 'Different Stripes' playing it to much?
:)
The final boss is very, very, very cool!! :D
In a why it's rather predicitable, but the thought had never crossed my mind!
It makes me want Starfox Armada even more :D
Nearing the final end, it's really cool!
Big surprises in store :D
> I've been playing for 14:37 and I'm 89% complete :D
Heh :-D

Nope not yet, I've still got the second spirit after The Test Of Combat inside me. Haven't got round to taking it to the Krazoa Palace yet. Tell you something though, I found it really quite disturbing when the first Spirit entered Krystal, I think it was her screams and the whispering of the Spirit...

Originally I did but when the bad reviews started coming out my expectations dropped, what i was expecting was a relativly challenging game much like Banjo Kazooie. what I got was a mitten wearing kids game, thats gameplay more patronizes than excites me.

No the whole game is stupidly easy and repetetive. I think I may have been a bit tough on the game before cause let's face it, the gameplay is obvioulsy not aimed at older gamers. I hate to say this but it really is a kids game, there's no way around it, the only bit i've found slightly tough is running up a hill dodging barrells whilst holding one but that wasn't in a "oh this is fun" way it was more of a "stupid rare, I smash your face in" type way.

> this is how games used to be,
Errrr no it's not, games used to be about skill this is no more about skill than Mario is about sexual violence. Whether you enjoy it or not it's clearly aimed at the younger generation, not because of the fluffy chracters, I like the characters but because the gameplay is simple and aimed at little kids. As long as Nintendo market it that way then they should have a big hit on their hands.
> people have forgotten how to play games properly, and its sad.
Have you been smoking hashish? I think it's you who's forgotten how games used to play. Fact is the gameplay is not challenging, there's no skill involved so this is not about old skool gameplay at all.
It's a case of lazy Rare churning out another platform/stroke adventure game with a new set of characters but pretty much follows the same set of rules that all their other platform games did. There's absoloutly no thought gone into this game at all, Rare should be capable of so much more.
I'm not saying there isn't a certain factor of enjoyment in running around picking crap up, I just can't see it's worth 40 of your hard earned squids. It's just rehashed tripe, with even simpler gameplay that will patronize anyone over 12.
Starfox's graphics and Mario Sunshine's gameplay, now that would be perfect.
