So Yankees, as always busy around deadline day and were quite successful. Abreu and Lidle for a bunch of minor league prospects of which only Smith looks half decent. Don't know too much about Lidle to be honest but Abreu will give another strong bat and some experienced coverage for Sheffield while he's out injured (and more than likely replace him for next season) Also picked up Craig Wilson for Chacon to give us another strong bat. Had him in my MVP Baseball 2005 team as well actually. Might mean Andy Phillips doesn't get as much time as he should though which is a shame.
Red Sox and Jays did nothing and we kept hold of Cano, Melky and Phillips so a good trade deadline time all around for the Yanks
I would think that the Angels will wrap their division up soon. Seattle won't get that gap back. Oakland have been rubbish this season.

hehe yea don't want to turn up on Sportscenter as one of "those" fans and be villified by all of LA. :-D

Private car? Oooooh look at you miss fancy panties. No wonder it was so expensive hehe

Yea the jerseys over there are stupidly expensive, even in the sales you're still looking at about 80-120 bucks for one. One of the few things England gets the better deal on.

Hehe always wise. Yea Vegas has tons of stuff to do, not bad for a desert city :-P Good to hear you had a good holiday though.

Baseline seats on the right hand side of the batter and we didn't get near any foul balls but I warned my friend not to catch anything - just on the off chance :D

We were staying in Santa Monica and taxi? Pfft! We went everywhere in a private town car.

We wanted the proper shirts but they were something in the region of 190 dollars which we thought was a little too expensive to buy just as a reminder.

VIP passes to universal studios for the Tuesday which was great fun, then went to the game on Wednesday. Other two days were boring after that especially when compared to Vegas. In Vegas we didn't get bored or spend much time in our fantastic room in the Bellagio overlooking the fountain. Did loads in Vegas and missed doing loads as well (ran out of time - will have to go back ><). Spent most of the last two days chilling in the room in LA even though our hotel had a popular bar by the pool. Didn't see any freaks though - we stayed away from Venice :D
I hate poker!!!
There were quite a few bombs into the green monster. Really tight game.
Ortiz = not clutch
Mo = me clutching my heart as i'm having a heart attack because he always has to make closing out a game against the scum so god damn fricking difficult!!!!
Good win, how i love my captain, oh my captain. Shame Joba gave up his first earned run and i just knew when he did it'd be against the Red Sox. Good sign though that he seemed to just shrug it off and go after the next batter.
Oh and nice try to the home plate ump who tried to screw us out that game, no doubt Ortiz was telling him "we'll get them next time" to him when he shouted back to him.
My 360 got the 3 red lights of doom today :-( Back to the ps2 and my rpg's for now, have to get used to the fuzziness now though of it
