Or as it is otherwise known - The MLB Thread

So Yankees, as always busy around deadline day and were quite successful. Abreu and Lidle for a bunch of minor league prospects of which only Smith looks half decent. Don't know too much about Lidle to be honest but Abreu will give another strong bat and some experienced coverage for Sheffield while he's out injured (and more than likely replace him for next season) Also picked up Craig Wilson for Chacon to give us another strong bat. Had him in my MVP Baseball 2005 team as well actually. Might mean Andy Phillips doesn't get as much time as he should though which is a shame.

Red Sox and Jays did nothing and we kept hold of Cano, Melky and Phillips so a good trade deadline time all around for the Yanks

Hello,

Sorry to barge in... do they (a team) play nearly everyday or night in a season?

Wang has been brilliant for the Yankees. Johnson has come up with a good number of wins too.

Santana has been really good again. 11 strikeouts and no runs again in his innings today.

Geez Chien-Ming Wang is just freaking awesome, another top quality outing (instead of purchasing huge contracts of old stars we should go shopping in Asia, with Matsui and Wang it seems to be working for us)

Boston choking again losing to a 6 run 12th (quite a few extra inning games last night) now 10 games back with Toronto only 1 game behind them. Lovely

Nice to see Sanchez throw a no hitter in the empty stadium in Florida. It's funny how Sanchez was a Boston prospect, seeing as Boston has a pitching problem.

Oooooh RJ with a no-no going into the 7th inning, that's the sort of pitching we expect from him and he's coming good at just the right time.

Yanks now 9 games ahead of the Scum, i think we've got 3 games to play with them with only 23 games left.

15 is the magic numberrrrrr

When does the new Premier League deal on Setanta come into effect? If it's next year, I guess I'll be watching more baseball. I might just get it next year anyway. Only one live game a week isn't enough.

And the fact that it was the first (and last i think) curveball Ledezma threw made it even more impressive the way he just saw it and smoked it out of there.

10 run 8th inning against the Royals giving the Yanks another win last night, and i thought our relievers were bad :-D
