So Yankees, as always busy around deadline day and were quite successful. Abreu and Lidle for a bunch of minor league prospects of which only Smith looks half decent. Don't know too much about Lidle to be honest but Abreu will give another strong bat and some experienced coverage for Sheffield while he's out injured (and more than likely replace him for next season) Also picked up Craig Wilson for Chacon to give us another strong bat. Had him in my MVP Baseball 2005 team as well actually. Might mean Andy Phillips doesn't get as much time as he should though which is a shame.

Red Sox and Jays did nothing and we kept hold of Cano, Melky and Phillips so a good trade deadline time all around for the Yanks

Yea if it was top 27 out of 180 i'd rate my chances as quite a bunch of them would go out early with dumb All In's with like a 10 and 7 off suit, however 1,800 is a bit much, especially as even if you win you still only get $15

Yeah, I've noticed that trend recently. Freerolls fill up really quickly and the odds of actually getting money from them are slim. I've seen some bad ones like top 260 out of 15,000+ but even ones like top 50 out of 1000 is quite difficult, just because of the poor play quality.

The people that are annoying me at the moment are flush chasers. Calling big raises with suited cards and then getting their flush. A lot of bad calls with flush draws as well.

I've not had that as much, you still get the annoying "raise an extra 10 on the button" muppets but the All In's seem to be at a minimum. Have seen some horrendously bad beats though

Tried to sign up for some freeroll's but geez those things fill up fast, plus i don't really rate my chances of getting into the top 27 out of 1,800 to earn some cash

The problem I've had with these play money games is that 95% of players don't take the game seriously. It's all in, all in all the time with garbage. Freeroll poker is slightly better. They still play garbage but are slightly better at playing it.

Signed up to fulltiltpoker.net the other day, plus point being it has play money so can still play and "gamble" without losing any of my actual money. Already gone from 1,000 to 9,300 in 2 days, shame i can't be that successful with real money

So the deal with Johnson has been done pending a medical and Luis Vizcaino, Ross Ohlendorf, Steven Jackson and Alberto Gonzalez are heading for the Yankees.

They'll be needing to pay more of the salary if they want Nippert. If they do get him and Owings though that's awesome.

Nippert and Gonzalez would be my preferred choice though
