Here a question.

How long do people think the N64 has left to live?

With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?

A games only console is what we need not a sub standard DVD player which also plays games.

Okay, I'm probably going to take alot of heat for this but here goes. First off I have a question. The Nintendo Dolphin and the gamecube are one and the same? excuse the ignorance, i recently bought a computer and have been playin games on that. Here is my theory let me know if you guys agree. All the other game console companies rush to get there next gen systems out(sega dreamcast, ps2) so that they can at least make a few bucks before nintendo blows them out of the water. I'm sure you all remember when sega came out with there original game system first,
then nintendo came out with the nes and it was just leaps and bounds better than that sega peice of crap. the only thing that nintendo got beat on was the handheld market, and even that has turned around for them over the years since the original gameboy. they rushed to get the gameboy out, and sega waited and came out with a better product(gamegear)...before you all start in on me, remember i said that has turned around. you have to admit though, gamegear was better than the original gameboy. The only one that ever came close to defeating the giant ( besides PC's that is) was sony, and now that nintendo is going the way of the disc based console i don't think that they stand a chance.

Ugly? UGLY? Since when was how a console LOOKS matter? Big deal, it isn't cool looking. Gamecube wasn't made to look cool. Like you said, it is strictly a gaming product. And cheap is hardly the word to describe Playstation 2. PSX2 will cost about $400 here in America, and £300 in Britain. I could get a DVD player for 150-200$ in America, 400$ costing more.

They are evil for tricking the public into thinking that Playstation is the best console in the universe, much like Pepsi and Coke. Pepsi says they are entirely supierior than old Coco-Cola, but actually, all that the Pepsi company does is take Coke products and add more sugar and caffine. Playstation was Nintendo's idea in the first place, but Sony took it after Nintendo left the idea. Tell me that isn't evil. And my name is *** but I am a Cool Dude.

Can any of you read? I didnt say that violence and gore add anything to games, and i didnt say that cutesy games arent bad. As for never seeing an appealing PlayStation game, Cool_Dude (if that is your real name), i guess it is because you dont actually own a PlayStation to play them on.

Actually, I'm not stupid, and I have a PSX. I think you are being biased. Sony, pure evil??? LOL! They're evil just for selling a console with good games and being popular?? Hmmmm, I don't think so. The N64 has some very good games but so does the PSX, like MGS, GT1 AND GT2,SF2, F1 2000, Jedi Power Battles, Resi Evil 1,2 and 3, Crash, Spyro and many more. So you can't say the PSX doesn't has any good games, as all consoles have good games. I'm not being biased, just telling the truth.

I don't think describing Playstation as pure evil is quite true, but what the hell!
Anyway. Saying "most people are stupid" isn't the best thing to say either, and may put you in a bad situation, so I am repling before anyone else gets the chance.
I do agree, however, that the demos of the gamecube look better than anything I've seen on the PS2.

First of all, rockclimber's an idiot. He thinks evil can rebel against good. What more can I say? He doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

Playstation 2, for your information is going to sell many more consoles than Gamecube for some reasons.

A)Most people are stupid, and don't care if you're never going to use the stupid DVD player on the Playstation 2. They believe anything they here. I've seen screen shots from PX2 and Gamecube. I'll tell you honestly that Gamecube is better, but will not be as popular.
B)It comes out a year earlier.

So you see, Nintendo fights the good fight, but loses most of the time. Playstation is pure evil.

$400 hear in America for a console with two game controller ports, with even the same graphics card as the old one is a huge waste of money. DVDS? What the #@%$ are they thinking? That is completely irrelivent to the fact that game consoles are about great games at a reasonable price. I am for you Zero, or something.
