How long do people think the N64 has left to live?
With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?
Cooky
Of course you don't....that is why Nintendo have succesfully created the Dolphin. It has a different sized disc so that it will be hard to copy. Also Sony have kept the same controller as lats time.
Think again its going to have very little good games when it is released, if any and it is relying on people buying it to play their old playstation games and DVD movies. Anyone who is thinking of paying £300 for that, should think again because The Nintendo Gamecube will be far better with its more superior Hardware and Software. The Graphics for the GameCube are so far advanced that the playstation 2 can only dream of being able to handle such graphics. Playability well no one can beat the playability of Nintendo's games. And another thing the GameCube will have the best Game designers working for it such as Rare Nintendo and Leftfield, while the Playstation 2 dont have any good dedicated designers. So as you can see the playstation 2 doesnt stand a chance againts the GameCube and thats a FACT.
Second year: Metal Gear Solid 2.
Third year: Fifa 2003, Fifa 2004.
Fourth year: Tomb Raider Anthology. All five Tomb Raiders on one disc.
Fifth year: Playstation 3 announced. Already 3000 preordered.
Where is everyones sanity! The PS2 is having trouble playing a lot of DVD's on the market, and you have to buy something to make them better! If you want to watch DVD's, you will have to buy a remote control as well!
Just buy a seperate DVD player, its a lot better.
The playstation and the N64 BOTH have some very good games. I prefer the N64 controller, as the buttons on the PSX controller can be awkward sometimes (Resident Evil). I own a N64. I have played (for a long time) on a Playstation. I prefer my N64. I am not biased, just everyone has different tastes.
a) These games are aimed at children, so they will be childish in nature, and
b) These games aren't any good anyway, so there's no need to play them, let alone buy them.
Sure, the N64 has some good games, but only one of these has any kind of adult material in it (Resident Evil 2) and this is a PlayStation port anyway. Sure, Perfect Dark is rated 18, but if the blood splatter was taken away, would it be any worse than Goldeneye?
I think your comments are in the wrong subject anyway. This is 'Why do Nintendo fans diss the playstation', not 'Let's all hilariously diss the playstation so I can type a rude word (hee hee)', which, by the way, you spelt wrong anyway (what is a 'PlayStation Puff'?)
I think nintendo fans 'diss' the playstation is because they have nothing better to do with their lives than whinge and moan.

Your messages are too long!
By the way Nintendo are better than PS2 because they CAN'T play DVD movies and CD music. This is because all the money has gone to developing GAMES software to run the actual games and for quality internet gaming of which Sony could never compete.
If Sony do do well with the Playstation 2 it will be because of the movie and CD compatabilities as Sony have never published quality games!
Nintendo have once again made a mistake!! on the N64 they had carts so they were more expensive whereas Sony took the cheap option of putting their games on CDs, now Nintendo have decided to improve their games by producing them on DVDs!! the new invention which is wiping the technology era clean of magnetic tape!(Video/Audio Tapes) they are faster and easier to operate with, and they last a lot longer, but when I was told that Nintendo had once again made a mistake with the blue prints and had decided to make their games on 8cm DVDs! I thought they had made a bad mistake which could cost them, we can't watch films unless they are specially made, yes it stops copying, which lost Sony alot of money, and we can't listen to Music CDs on the console, so really this console is solely designed for playing games, maybe this is why the console is £100 less than the Imaginative PS2, which can play the original PS games(lucky people) play movie DVDs and play Music Cds! yes the GC is faster, yes the GC will have better games, but they don't have some of the things I was hoping for, this means I will have to fork out another £100+ for a SEPERATE DVD player, I don't care about the Music as my TV hasn't got very good sound compared to my Stereo, and I can listen to music and play games at the same time. BUT WHY NINTENDO??? WHY??? I thought this time Nintendo would have followed suit and used normal sized DVDs like Sony, but they were probably afraid of being called copy cats(or something childish) Nintendo don't have as much Memory on their DVDs for their games, but it allows them to have a neat little console that can sit nicely ontop of many gamers TV without looking ugly or out of place. I know that nintendo will do well, but they will loose alot of customers from making it so small, and excluding some valuble accessories.
