How long do people think the N64 has left to live?
With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?
Cooky
Mario Kart for the N54 was just as good allowing up to f players to race and battle it out with amazing graphics with so many colours! The sounds are good, the controls are excellent to handle and I hope the Gameboy Advance version is even better!
Banjo Kazooie by Rare is also good as it has loads of colours, characters and playability! It is based on the excellent Mario 64 enginge and plays well!
Pokémon is an excellent game for the N64 but it just doesn't have that "thing" that the other games have/had. It would have been better if you could control the Pokémon's every move like a fighting game.
Goldeneye is one of the only games that comes close when it comes to excellent gaming! It plays just like the film and has so many multiplayer options! The single player mode is excellent too as the levels are huge (except for runway) and I never get bored with it!
Nintendo owners diss the PS and PS owners diss the N64.
This is because neither have properly played each others games and stubbornly think that theirs is the best and this turns into petty name calling.
The PS has loads of great games, more than the N64.
I like the original crash bandicoot (not the sequels) because it reminds me of DK country on the snes and metal gear solid and final fantasy 7 are both great games but...
The playstation has nothing to offer nearly as good the likes of Zelda 64, Mario 64, Mario Kart 64 or Goldeneye (let alone Perfect Dark).
So if you want lots of great cheap games, choose PS
If you want the greatest games at a higher price, choose N64.
It's your call!
It takes good graphics, gameplay, sound, perfect difficulty curve and a lot lot more to give a game charm. Goldeneye had it, Donkey Kong Country had it, Mario 64 and Zelda 64 both had it too.
It's what made the games the unforgettable experiences they were.
Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong 64, and Jet Force Gemini, however, lacked it. All 3 are brilliant games, and are better than the other games in graphics, sound and have just as good gameplay but lack a certain charm...
I wonder why...
It's RARE and NINTENDO make games that are a billion times better than Sony (especially RARE with Donkey Kong, Jet Force Gemini and Perfect Dark!)
The PS and PS2 aren't too bad and have a few brilliant games exclusive to them, like:
Final Fantasy, Most Resident Evil games, Metal Gear solid etc.
All of these are made, not by Sony, but by independant companies who will also be releasing their brilliant games for the Gamecube proving that anything PS2 can do,
GameCube can to much, much better!
