Here a question.

How long do people think the N64 has left to live?

With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?

Calm down mate, I like Nintendo too, I think they make the best consoles, but a lot of people don't, and they are entitled to their opinions...

Yes, I have also played both, Playstation for an extremely long time, and I own a N64. While the Playstation was fun, I much prefer the N64.

I meant that out of 4 resident evil games, only one has appeared on the N64 and neither Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy have appeared on the N64 (yes, I know that they're both on the gameboy but that's not the point)
simply because both of these huge games didn't fit on cartrages.

The gamecube has disks now so it won't be a problem any more.

Agreed there!
Emulators become more and more stable as the programmers receive bug reports from users and update their software with new feature, something other games creators should think about doing more often. Besides, if you have a PC you should be used to crashes by now! My emulators don't seem to play up much, the ones for older machines seem to be a lot better. Have a play with some of the megadrive ones to see what I mean.

I don't think the N64 emulator is such a good idea, takes too damn long to get the games and I can understand why Nintendo aren't too happy about it. Just think of the money they'll lose, especially with such high priced games, who the hell decided that a game was worth 50 quid anyway? But I am finding it hard to understand the problem with a NES emulator, I wouldn't even know where to buy NES games now, so they must make no money from them anymore, and that has gotta make it morally ok to pirate right? Well maybe, but it's still not legal, so all I wanna say is, Nintendo are mean spirted money grabbing peeps who no-longer care about us game fans!
