Now, I was a little annoyed with SR getting rid of the gaming threads.

So please share your Championship Manger experiences in here.

Currently i am Sheffield Wednesday in the year 2030. This is the furthest I have ever got in any champ man game! THe other ones used to stop after 2026. Anyone know when it does end? If ever?

Anyways, whats the most you have sold someone for? Mine is £88M. Well chuffed with that sale. It was one of my home grown players as well. Came through the reserves and was a great hit.

Ye, still got that 80 season game.

Although weird things go on in that. YOu remember the 80yr old player ...

I dont always quit the club when i make them succesful. I stayed Sheffield Wednesday manager for like 60 of those 80 seasons. But of late I only seem to have the drive to manage crap clubs as it feels soooo good when you win at Highbury/Old trafford for the first time with them.

If you are just looking for spaces in your team go into your reserves and find players that are not ever going to be good enough to play for you, and just release them on a free transfer.

[1]= What do you mean???
[2]= Who do they play for???
[3]= What position is he? Who does he play for?? How much is he???
[4] Will any of the players above reject Leeds??
[5] Leeds' finances are about £25,000,000-£35,000,000 + Leeds only have 2 spaces left in their team, Who do you think I should sell?? Bowyer? Martyn? Radebe? Bridges? I should make about £30,000,000, shouldn't I??

Thanks for your help

*+** = Huntelaar and Runstrom are random players - they can be increidble, terrible, average or inbetween (their potential is set to -2 in the editor)

Riqulme, Robben and Rosicky rule. All will cost a lot by the time you can get them though (usualy 10m+)

Defence was Mendez (from Velez) Arca (from Sunderland) Mancine (from Sao Centianu or something) and Peter Mard (another random player who got incredible)

Bouma is good - his stats don't look as amazing as Nestas for instsance, but hes versatile, and can score a fair share, and defend well. Plus the big clubs seem to love him.

Mark Van Bommel (also from PSV) is excellent too.

It depends when i started out i couldnt really afford anyone, it took a few seasons to get to the first division and players in my team at that point were Jason McAteer, Job from middlesbrough, Ostenstad, Lee Hendrie, Heskey, Shearer, Ben Thatcher and sevral home grown talents. By the time I was in the prem there was barely anyone from the original team left and they were all in the reserves. When I won the champions league I had people like Djibril Cisse a older Henry, Vieira, Joe Cole and Hofland. Also Samba from millwall looks bad but turns into quite a star, I find the best thing to do is buy young players and let them mature through the ranks of your team, also shifting a player to late in his career I found is more prone to making them homesick.

Could you give me a list of who I should buy, when managing R&D?

Do you still have that monster game that has lasted 80+ years, Ortega?

Do you always quit the club when you make them succesful? I have a drive to make them the best ever by making them the most winners of every competition I enter.

Just done the FA and Uefa cup double. But Arsenal pipped me to the premiership on the last day of the season! I came 2nd even though i had 84 points. Arsenal were quite shockingly good...

Next season will be my first in the champions league with them. I'll resign as soon as i've one the champs league twice with them and take up another job in the lower leagues.

Cardiff in the Uefa cup, pretty impressive. I have only won the champions league 2 times once with Liverpool and once with Rushden and diamonds.
