Now, I was a little annoyed with SR getting rid of the gaming threads.

So please share your Championship Manger experiences in here.

Currently i am Sheffield Wednesday in the year 2030. This is the furthest I have ever got in any champ man game! THe other ones used to stop after 2026. Anyone know when it does end? If ever?

Anyways, whats the most you have sold someone for? Mine is £88M. Well chuffed with that sale. It was one of my home grown players as well. Came through the reserves and was a great hit.

Yeah, I've played The Manager. I couldn't really get into it. I know what you're talking about with the images.

I understand what you are saying about them over-tweaking an already amazing game but wasn't there alot of reservations when Championship Manager 3 came out? Championship Manager 2 was great and CM3 improved on it adding a new interface and training, etc. I say lets have some faith in the developers and lets all look forward to the release of the new game!

To shoot off at a tangent for a minute, does anyone remember the game The Manager on the Amiga? That incorporated quite a few characteristics that Championship Manager however instead of text describing the match, a breif 3d highlight appeared, showing a goal, miss, save, sending off, etc. Does anyone remember it?

I got to 2008 with Vfl Bochum.

Klass - Jan Huntelaar and Bjorn Runstrom upfront.

Riquelme, Robben and Rosicky in midfield.

And some cool guys in defence.

I ruled.

Oh yes.

Top sale? 36,000,000 for Bouma. I paid about 25 to get him though.

I think you can safely say that Champ Man 4 will be top notch.

Chamionship manager 4 comes out in just over a month, and for me it cant come soon enough. I like the look of the overhead match view, not being a fan of the full 3D views. I dont like them because they never look spontainious you just know that the game is being played on a liniar path, but the overhead view gives you a more comprehensive view of how your team are playing without look unrealistic.
The thing I was wondering was are the going to mess to much with a winning formula? Apart from updating teams and improving the training section a little, I here they are also changing the transfer system and adding in agents for the players (im not looking forward to dealing with Anelka's brothers!) they are changing the ammount of media involvement aswell, my concern was that C-man 02/03 was so good should they really change so much?! It could make it worse or i suppose could be another stroke of genious what do you all think?
