Hi, i need help on this topic. At the moment i have a 56k modem which gets very annoying. And the pings i have on some online games are terrible.
So i am considering getting a faster connection. So far i have seen The blue yonder cable one, which is avaliable in my area. And a few Adsl providers, but they seem to be more expensive. Can you suggest any good ones to me, because i dont know much on this subject, and wouldn't want to get one that was always slow, and had technical difficulties.
So which are my best options ?

Did someone say something about pipex being cheap???

I only ask as I was looking through their site, and I dunno if it's just because I am reading into it wrong, but it seems you don't get access the an ISP with it!!
You have to pay extr a monthfor that Pipex Dial .... am I right,, or reading it wrong??

grr, it took me near an hour to deliver 40 papers.
i'm trying out playing games while on a huge ping, I find capture the flag really easy, as no one sees you properly! :D i'm just a cheat I guess.

My paper round is very easy, only took around 25 minutes, then came back around half 6 , and been playing counter strike since, anyway, i gotta go to school now, cya

3 weeks and i'll have a new PC and broadband!

£20 a week! sheesh, I got £12 *is mad at paper rounds* remeber waking up at 6am and delivering papers in the snow, still only got £12, bought me a Ninty mag and some sweets, that sucks, anyway, lag with a broadband modem? are you completely insane? I got a ping of 15! yes 15! today, I is well chuffed *beams* my dads saying if I get a good job I have to pay for the broadband, he can kiss my ass.
Tis a good choice are you getting a PS2/GC/XBox if you havn't already? if so, you've made a wise choice in getting broadband, as people have probably said before, theres no bad points about broadband, some might say £26 is a little steep, I don't think so, probably because i'm not paying for it, meh. I do believe i've gone on for long enough, I hope you enjoy Broadband, and play many games. yup.

I'm having to do a paperround to pay towards mine, i get £20 a week, so its not that bad, and the round is easy .

I've just managed to get myself a part-time job, so ADSL should be mine in a month. Woo-hoo!

Anyway, they didnt need the Os, but just in case i managed to get a copy. Whilst he was doing the work out side ..i fitted the NIC card, and installed all the drivers, and set everything up, so it was all done quite quickly. I couldnt wait to try it, i've already downloaded the 76mb half life update, and am half way through the 100mb counter strike file , which shall finished in about 15 minutes. Then i can try it counter strike out with it, hopefully no lag :)

good lad! Broadband is the best! can't believe they've got 1Ghz Broadband in the states, but hey, i'm extreemly happy with mine, you'll soon hate 56k modems, if your mates have them, you'll find yourself going to make a cup of tea while waiting for pages to load or clicking the link again and again to see if it's crashed :p

I guess they didn't need the OS disc then?
