The totally unofficial ‘Freeola forums random fact about me game’.
To play the game forum members take it in turn to list 10 random facts about themselves, some must be true others total fabrications. Once a list as been submitted other members simply submit which they believe to be true and which they think are false. Whoever guesses the most correctly gets to go next, lists are only valid for 24 hours from posting. The 24 hour rule is automatically overruled if the poster spots an entry in which someone has guessed all 10 ‘facts’ correctly.
The (very loose) rules are:
Facts must be things fairly unusual not ‘I usually take the bus to work’ kind of thing. But not ridiculous either, none of this ‘I went to the moon and it was made of cheese’ stuff.
Each member can only submit 1 list but they can still continue to guess other peoples lists and I will attempt to keep some kind of championship board.
Each member can only guess once for each list and answers must be submitted under a ‘spoiler’ tag.
There must be a mix of true and false ‘facts’ (no all true or all false).
If 2 or more people get the same amount correct, whoever posted first gets to go next.
Think that’s about it really.
Right, think that’s pretty straightforward. Hope this gets more entries than this years MotoGP fantasy league!
Whoever is heading the leaderboard on 1/03/02 can now claim the award kindly given by Freeola for this thread. In the event of a tie I will post a final 10 'facts' to decide to winner on this date, if its me in the final 2 then I will ask another forum member (who doesn't know either of us in person) to do this. As with yesterday when we had the same number of people getting the number of guesses correct each get a championship point. Hope this gets some activity going over the next 14 days as anyone has a genuine chance to win.

Cheers for that GP, really appreciated. I will update the leaderboard now. Regarding the Silverstone thing, if you get the chance in the future do it. I actually got to drive the 'new bit' in 2010 about 2 weeks before the MotoGP race was held there. It's a totally different experience to watching it on TV, there's actually a fair bit of elevation changes through there. Serious fun though, especially in a car that's not yours! (wouldn't tell them about driving lesson thing!). Seriously though, think they do passenger rides round there which are also really good fun.

Okay, how did you all do? Now is the time to find out...
1) I bought a PS2 from poker winnings.
TRUE The funny thing about it was I only ever played freerolls, in that you don't put any money in and have the potential to get money back. Won about £200+ in 6 months and that was more than enough. Sadly, poker sites have no idea what 'free' means and there are not that many legitimate freerolls out there.
2) I've been on a tour of the McLaren factory and was in a Q&A session with Lewis Hamilton
FALSE Would love to but the only factory I've been round was the old Jordan factory (now Force India). It was an open day to club members and it was fun. Won a jumper for being brilliant at a Johnny Herbert branded PC game I think it was.
3) I suffered a concussion when a cyclist knocked me down
TRUE Stepped out of my back gate when I was 6 years old, cyclist knocked me and that was a concussion and 3 stitches.
4) My brother and I created a cycle racing series which my friends and I participated in. I won it several times.
TRUE Yep, for a few years when I was around 10 to 13 years old, we had some tracks mapped out on the roads in our area and we had 8 of us at one time racing. Kept us out of trouble.
5) I've been an audience member on an episode of QI
FALSE I was in a line to be an audience member at a QI taping but they overbooked by about 100 people I reckon. I have been in the audience for 3 episodes of the TV game show Pointless though.
6) I've driven around the Silverstone circuit (in an actual car)
FALSE Again, would love to but I actually have never had any driving lessons. I have driven around Silverstone in many a game though.
7) I have, when sitting in my chair, over 200 games on 10 different consoles on shelves in front of me.
TRUE I have over 200 games in front of me on the PC, Megadrive, 32X, Mega CD, Gamecube, Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS1, PS2, PS3 and DS. Got more on shelves behind me as well.
8) I've been to several quiz nights and never finished outside the top 3
FALSE 3 wins, 2 2nd places, a 3rd and a 5th. Not bad when you consider that there have been over 10 teams in each of them.
9) I've had several 180s and a 170 finish in darts and a hole in one at golf
FALSE A bit of a crafty one this one. I have had several 180s and 170 finish but I've never had a hole in one at golf. Best I've had was a tap in birdie.
10) At half time between a semi pro team and a local company football match with the local company down 2-0, I came on for the 2nd half as a ringer for the local company, scored the only goal for the team in a 2-1 loss and the striker had a go at me for trying to replace him as striker after the goal. I had to play right wing for the rest of the game.
TRUE I thought about changing something about this to make it false but it is all true. The crazy thing was that most of the team backed him up. He wouldn't have scored if they had played all week.
That just leaves the results:

Chas didn't seem too enthused in writing up a list when we spoke about it earlier. I'm working with dean5 tonight so will try to get him to put a list up once GP has 'marked' his.

24 hours seems plenty of time for people to give their answers, if they are interested. Entirely up to you though GP.
