Selling my Gamecube on Ebay, and no this is not some advertising thing with a link...
My continued boredom of the console, with games I don't enjoy, has led me to this, along with my love of the X Box which has so far not disappointed me, and actually has more than 3 games coming out this year that I want, which aren't ports.
I'm not saying it is a better console - it is in my opinion - just that it suits me better as the gamer I am, plus I can't afford to run two consoles and still by all the game I wish for them..*eyes Steel Battalion on Xbox*...
Adios, like Rare, I'm waving goodbye to Nintendo :P
~~Belldandy~~
Nothing on any other console matches the graphics of Resident Evil (and definately not RE: Zero). Of course it's partly down to it being pre-rendered, however it's also because beleivable graphics are important to this type of game. The evidencing being RE 4's incredible graphics, and this one is full 3D, no pre-rendering.
(well money towards a piano)
Idelwind How do you know that Doom 3 isn't any good? Have you played it? Belldandy never said that it was all about graphics so what are you talking about? Until a game is released you can't comment and until you have played it you can not compare it to other games and say that it will never compare! Resident Evil on the GameCube is a WHOLE lot scarier than the original PSONE verison and this is maninly due to the excellent or should I say breath taking graphics and CG movies. No graphics don't mean everything but they add a new dimension to games, especially survival horror games and with a right mixture between graphics and gameplay you can crack a great game (i.e. Splinter Cell, Halo, Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness etc).
Why don't you just end it and stop digging your hole deeper?!
If anything it will be 'walk forwards/backwards strafe + shoot' with decent graphics.

Spell GAMEPLAY then look at what you just wrote, will you? It's not all about the graphics, and Doom 3 will never emulate the felling of being damn scared of a few reed pixels that breath fire. I loved Doom. GBA version is calling.. Aha!

Nope
There aren't any [console] exclusives on the Xbox that I want that I can't get ont my PC, and I tihnk perhaps, if I just try hard enough, I can live without Fable and Panzer.
Of course, they all run perfectly with higher resolutions than on the XBox on my lovely super powered PC. And also, I don't have to pay a subscription fee to play them online. And if you know what you're doing, you won't have any 'will it work or not' issues.
Does anyone agree with me on this?
And actually, many of the best XBox games are on the PC and when I can be bothered to write it, I will post why.
