I suspect IB is trying to have a go at me here, but considering the vast majority of people who visit the arcades are Chinese, I think he's showing suppressed racist tendencies...

Has anyone else found after working at a place they then hate to go there as a consumer, I have from when I worked at Tesco.

Well that's what I'm saying - most women choose arcades over sitting at home to get their games fix. Nobody plays 'em 24/7. Except Insane Bartender (probably).

I didn't live in them. The trocadero was the best place for them - jump into an 8 player Daytona, (with the cameras to capture every foolish expression on our youthful miens) give them Japanese guy next to you an appraising look...and then beat him! At his own game! (Well, not literally - that would be hideous [Partridge!])

Ahh yes. The joys of Daytona - the way you can force someone against the side and watch their car tumble over your bonnet...YES!

I remember my boss once saying something to me I'll never forget:

"People are so stupid, we could put a coin slot on the wall, which obviously did nothing, and even put a sign next to it saying so, and people would still pump money into it like there's no tomorrow."

Given my experiences in arcades, I have to agree with that statement. The overwhelming majority of people who go to arcades are utter retards.

Rosalind, the idea is to have fun, so you don't really have nothing to show for it. What do you have to show for it when you drink a can of coke? Urine! Well it's the same cost.

As for 'sleaze emporium', sorry to hear you live in such a cr@p town. Here in Glasgow, Booth's arcade is a class place.
