My parents NEVER let me go into arcades. That's probably why I felt such delight when i got the chance to waste a few 20p's in them.

Mum: "I'm not giving you any money so that you can throw it down the drain."

Dad: "You're NOT going into those places. That is an order."

And with those two damning indicments, the commands were set in stone. Naturally I rebelled against them. In our local swimming baths we had a Street Fighter 2 arcade machine and (to paraphrases imbecilic "Essex wide-boys") "it was DA-BOMB"

What the hell does that mean anyway?

Obviously I missed out the smiley face at the end, but what the hell. I can hack 'this' just fine, it's the overblown reaction to sarcastic remarks that I can't be bothered with.

Listen to me you fascist pig - and I'll call you that until you can prove me to be a racist - I don't know what a cab is, because I've never heard of one. I worked in arcades where we had aisles, lines, walls, stores and rooms.

Cabs? I'm not privvy to your mong slang. I've worked in arcades for more hours than you've probably ever slept.

I've never willingly gone into one for any reason other than to work.
