I'm thinking of picking up a GC as soon as tomorrow.
A couple that haven't stopped breathing might now be thinking "why the change of heart ?"
The most obvious reason is that I have flu right now so chances are its the words of a sick bloke ranting.
The other is that I've been laying in bed thinking back to games I played such as Metroid and Zelda and how there are times I'd like to play them again (but of course in they're new forms). Afterall, at the end of the day I am a gamer, not a fanboy and I've grown up with Nintendo games.
I might also look into a Gameboy Advance SP towards the end of the month with some of the classic Snes games that are out or coming out.
If I get a GC, this is what I'm thinking of grabbing...
Black GC
Extra controller (black of course)
Resident Evil
Resident Evil Zero
Mario Sunshine
Advanced scart lead (for best pic and sound quality)
Then of course I'll pick up Metroid Prime and Zelda as they come out. Don't need a memory card as I have the one from when I had the GC before. Anyway, thats the current thing going through my head.
Blame my credit card taunting me while I'm ill for this happening.
Right, well I'm off to ponder more on this and decide on how I'm going to pay for it all if I decide to go shopping tomorrow.
Got two access points leading to the magmoor area opened - but I can't get in there at the moment, obviously need the right suit.
I'm booking Friday off next week - gonna be spending quite a lot of money. ;-))
Should be picking up...
Gameboy Advance SP
GBA - GC Link Cable
Legend Of Zelda - A Link To The Past
Metroid Fusion
DOA: Extreme Beach Volleyball
Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis
Plis I've won Indiana Jones thanks to SR. :-) I'm also thinking of picking up Rogue Leader and Smash Bros Melee. See how it goes I guess. The sensible side of me is saying that I should really leave those two games for now - think I might have to listen to that side for once too. ;-))
> Nintendo are making a headset to enchance forgotten pyschic abilities.
That reminds me of an episode of Star trek TNG where the marquis wee searching for an ancient Vulcan Psychic headset thingy.

We would have the option the create a signature sentence for when you lose and for when you win, like the charcters on the games do now. But having to type something into a keyboard would slow the battle down a bit unless you had someone next to you typing it in for you.
We could always have a video link so we can see and talk with the person you're battling with, but i think it's a bit ahead of us at the mo.

Actaully I grabbed my own copy of Mew and Celebi from my cousins, I knew how to do the copying trick and they had the pokemon.
I even used my copying abilities to copy a Master Ball and even a mass production line of copied Proteins and Carbos to boost up my fav pokemon.
Hackers should get the same fate as the bloke who invented pop up advertising deserves - death by a hail of bullets. Of course it shouldn't be a fast death, go for the knee caps and groin first just to make it drawn out and painful. Hate the sods !
Anyway, I think a Pokemon game of that magnitude would definatly need to be over broadband. An online Pokemon Stadium game would at least be accessible for everyone. At the end of the day though, for online gaming to reach its real potential, it really has to be over broadband. Otherwise you can only really experience the same multiplayers that you play with 3 friends because dial up just can't handle all the extra players.
Online gaming is really in its early stages at the moment, but as broadband spreads, so will online console gaming as it will be another excellent direction for players to take with their games.
Once these foundations come along, then we'll hopefully be able to look forward to a huge online Pokemon experience. :-)
Imagine the likes of Skies Of Arcadia and Secret Of Mana having online options too ! Theres so much potential in the future - hopefully its not too distant.
