Someone tell me this isn't so, I need a control system I can use or I'll never play it.
In short I think anyone should play this game for a fair while before dismissing it because of the controls. I know when I first played Doom on the SNES years back I couldn't get the hang of the FPS controls. Metroid Prime is much the same. It may look like a FPS, but the controls are very different, meaning you have to approach it as such, and the controls may seem a bit strange at first...
Anyhoo. I defeated Omega Pirate last night. Incredibly tough boss!
> In which aspects and why?
Because Halo on X-Box
X-Box have c***-breath.
I haven't played it as much as I'd have hoped so far, but from what I have played, I'd say it's far superior to the often monotonous Halo in just about every aspect.
This lets me hold a button, and auto-aim at them.
I can kill things without getting killed.
This is good.
But it's not trying to be a FPS, is it. It's more about the exploration.
I like it more than I thought I would, and am glad it's not an FPS, because FPS gamers have c***-breath.
*claps
I played it at the weekend also.
It's Mechwarrior with knobs on.
> He's still a git though.
Brilliant boss. In my top five bosses ever.
I really didn't like the controls at first. I bared with them and finally I find it all natural now. Changing to the Visor and inbetween weapons mods is simply smooth... :)

The game's worth owning for the Space Pirates alone, an absoloutly brilliant enemy. You don't encounter them propely though till a bit later on in the game. Fighting a whole crowd of them in the dark with the thermal scanner on is worth the price of admission alone.
