Morrowind is a fantastic RPG if you have the time for it.

So, I decided after looking at this thread, it needed editing.

Morrowind discussion, discuss about Morrowind.

Pretty straight forward really.

Tell us your Morrowind storys, cool stuff you've done ect.

I was guilty of coming out with the "it only gets good after 50 hours" quip.
Yeah, it is good from the start, but it only gets "really" good once your character gains sufficient power and money - i.e. being able to take on powerful enemies, summoning demons, enchanting items, etc.

If you like the concept of the game, please stick with it because it gets better and better.
I was daunted and confused at first, and I nearly sold it twice, but once I got beyond the first few hours it turned into my favourite game.

Trade it in and get a game that's no so boring and beardy.

Trust me, speak to anyone in the game and they will bore you. Far too much text, nothing to do, need to play for about 50 hours before it gets good, beards, boring, rubbish combat, pants, beards, more beards, wood elfs, orks, tree elfs, elf elfs etc etc

I could go on about the bad points but there's just too many to name.

got morrowind on thursday, been decorating so only had chance to play it today.

slammed it in the xbox, loaded it, watched the pretty good intro. After choosing my character, and answering questions to generate my persona, I was outside and 'on my own'. I walked for a while and some guy fell out of the sky. On closer inspection he was testing out a new spell. I stole his 'extravagant clothes, extravagant shoes' and sword then walked some more. Some weird worm sucker type thing had a go at me so I killed it. I walked some more and got to a tomb/crypt like thing. Inside there was a ghost which attacked me, so rather than die, I ran past it thinking I was being clever, only to be slashed to death by a skeleton with a sword.

I switched it off after that, I am v.hungover and can't really concentrate on the whole thing. I'll play it later when I am able to think straight.

On the whole, it seems pretty good so far. Any tips at this early stage?
