Morrowind is a fantastic RPG if you have the time for it.

So, I decided after looking at this thread, it needed editing.

Morrowind discussion, discuss about Morrowind.

Pretty straight forward really.

Tell us your Morrowind storys, cool stuff you've done ect.

I love the Cube quest. People run all over the ruins getting mashed by Dwemer monsters, when actually it's in a small room at the entrance :)

You know the first big chamber you go in with two guys who attack you? There are some rocks or something that can be climbed to take you to another ledge at the top, there's a door at the left with another guy in who attacks you. The puzzle box is on a shelf in there.

Here's a hint, take a scroll of divine intervention, grab as much stuff as possible and use it to teleport back to the temple in Balmora. Then you can dump your usual gear, sell all the dwemer stuff and pick up your kit again.

Thought it'd be funny to show people my early experiences in this game. :)

I must've missed it. The room with the small(er) steam machine?

Think I stumbled onto a vampire den. Mabye not. I'd teamed up with this guy who was robbed to get the witch who robbed him. We went into this underground bit and started fighting this woman who wouldn't stay down! After about five minutes of watching my companion hit her, her getting up and then him knocking her back down: I decided we should leave. :)

Wandered about and did some crypt robbing, killed a fire-zombie thing. I finally have a good weapon, a flame short sword 10/10. Which actually hurts things! Killed one of those green lizard things that killed me last time. Me and my companion had to fiht off a few pteradactyls. He did fighting the fire-zombie thing though. :(

Got books and read 'em. Stayed at Shenks place to rest. Twice. Succumbed to temptation and Robbed the place blind the second time, then sold half of it back to Shenk! :D

Unsurprisingly I was chased out by the local Blade guy.

Actually found where I was orded to go by accident so I decided to try and get the cube. Sneaked past the wizard guarding the bridge by becoming invisible. Got in the dwarven/dwemer ruins. Killed everyone using a spark ring and sword + my thieves doging ability and a LOT of resting.

Explored everywhere except a door that is too strong for my new lockpick.
:(

Still I have about 3000gps of dwemer stuff so that should do for now.....

Still have no cube. Still level 1. Still Yay, Yay and thrice Yay!!! :D

To be able to fight well early on, choose a race which is suited to fighting, choose a class which is suited to fighting, and choose a weapon you have a high skill with.

Or were you too busy screaming about pixies and beards to bother reading anything at all?

Goatboy, how did you beat someone up so early on in the game?

When I started I could barely kill a rat, let alone beat a person up. I stabbed some guy in the face with a fork repeatedly, only to have him punch me to death.

That's the main thing that annoyed me about the game, you start off so pathetically weak. You can't even hit people with weapons because they miss all the time, even though you're blatantly swinging your sword around in their face.

Now THAT is how games should be played. Not any of that exploration, friendliness and meeting people crap, just sheer violence and destruction.

Who says games have a bad effect on the youth?

if you ever have a mission in a house where there is just one pperson, and not a shop because they will report you believe me ive tried, and kill who evers in it and clain it for yourself. on a slighty larger scale of that you can just go to a small village(not marked on the map prefarably)and slaughter everyone in there, its so fun i love morrowind i can just go around mudering ppl and casdting spells on them without any1 stopping me

Heh heh heh good stuff Goatboy, Your so friendly to your fellow morrowind inhabitants :P

I'm starting to consider Morrowind as the best RPG i've ever played, the fact that its so open ended is great.
