Anyone who's paid any attention to the Ninty side of E3 this year would have to be a fanboy to not agree that it's been a total non-event. An extreme lack of any really big announcements other than some complete cashin Pokemon games and some terrible GBA link-up things.
What's going on with Nintendo?
They say they've adopted a more aggressive approach an then they attend the biggest gaming show in the world and there wasn't a single thing on show that was really good that we hadn't seen before. Sony announce the Playstation portable, new Gran Turismo game, new MGS game, they announce a massive deal with EA for exclusive rights to the online sports line-up. Microsoft unveil Halo 2, Doom 3 amongst other things.
Where's all the amazing 1st party support from Nintendo?
Oh and to rub salt in the wounds, every single person at IGN says that Mario Kart is too slow.
It most likely won't, but there's a chance. As for Geist, I'm not too impressed either. The GC line-up is great but the announcements disappointed me. People will soon see that Kirby Air Ride will rock. Ha!

Or even release levels that won't make the finshed game. PC Magazines do it all the time for their demos, so why can't Nintendo release official demos like that?
Don't know about you, but I'd be pretty excited if I played Wind Waker at 80% completion, then was promised it was going to get even better!
Why don't they have free DVDs (DEMOS EVEN!) on shop counters to take away with you, jsut to see whats out there on the GC - Decent footage, trailers, soundtracks etc, and it might open up peoples eyes a little.
For example, an Xbox owner might pick it up just to see what it looks like, or maybe a PS2 owner, or someone buying one as a gift - to have a look. If it was well made, it could sway a lot of decisions.
I agree with Tiltawhirl to an extent, on his point that it doesn't matter what we see - it's all about perception. WE know there are upwards of 15 top-notch titles that will provide gaming excellence, but does the ordinary joe? Doubt it.
Today, my manager at work asked me to explain the games market. For the sake of impartiality I tried to give an honest assessment of each consoles pros and cons, but after mentioning the Gamecube was my personal favourite, he replied 'But Gamecube's shi.t', and that's where Nintendo are going persistently wrong, thre just doesn't seem to be any concerted affort to change the views of people that don't know Nintendo.
They're preaching to the converted.

Spaceworld is a media event where they announce a furore of new Nintendo titles... last year there was no new Nintendo titles so they did some intimate game shows to show off the progress of their titles... something Spaceworld also did.
I presume there is still many games to announce.
When Nintendo cancelled it last year I thought that they'd pulled the plug on it all together in favour of those tours they do, visiting different locations demoing games.
So is there a Spaceworld this year...?
