"Nintendo's conference was like a retirement home for classic game developers as Toru Iwatani, the brains behind Pac-Man, played on-stage against Mario wunderkind, Shigeru Miyamoto, who is currently working on an all-new Pac-Man title.
Refreshingly self-critical, the assembled masses were told of the mistakes the big N made with marketing the GameCube, and the difficulty the traditionally family-orientated company was having in appealing to modern, gore-obsessed players.
But their president, Satoru Iwata, in a nod to the Grand Theft Auto series, assured Nintendo-philes: "You won't see Mario shoot a hooker".
And while we were assured the GameCube had a rosy future, its successor is already officially in development."
*chuckles*
You have no passion for any particular thing?
Some people choose musicians, others choose authors, and I choose Nintendo.
Ofcourse, the majority of us have lives outside of the gaming world. And that is why we don't resort to this kind of childish spouting of "You're favourite gaming company are crap, blah blah blah"
And at the end of the day kids, they're just computer games.
Soon you will discover women, alcohol, friends and a thing called "outside", and y'know what? The opinion of a stranger on a web-board who doesn't like your favourite console won't actually matter.
Now I'm off outside to smoke and watch the rain stop so I can go buy 28 Days Later.
Disappointed with the 2 new Zeldas, as I have already said, but games like Mario Kart, Geist, F-Zero, and many others are enough to keep my confidence with the big-N.
But I can admit that E3 wasn't particularly that much of a big shocker this year - not even the PSP seemed that big an announcement to me - I've heard many rumours of Sony wanting to enter the handheld market over the last few years, so it don't suprise me at all.
It doesn't, however, make me want to act like a 12 year old child when it comes to commenting on the doom of other consoles, which hasn't got any facts to back it up.

Its just that you made it sound as if MS had'nt done anything at all, when clearly they had shown some killer apps, Halo 2.
Trying not to be too fanboyish, But I just think Nintendo could of done better, don't get me wrong, I love Nintendo as much as you do, but there was'nt many First party announcements as there could of been.

Nope I see nothing to that nature.

You dont need my permission, you seem quite able to leave intelligence-vacuuming posts willy nilly, as in the Vietcong thread in PC.
Carry on.

That's it?
That is the sum total of your wit?
"I know you are but what am I?" is the best you can do? C'mon Pee-wee, try harder.
At least Tiltawhirl is calling me a retard.
