"We need a website"

Right. The web design forum here needs a website, for posting all sorts of advice, links, news etc. A "community" website. It should be interactive and fully display the best of our skills. So:

Coding - Me, cjh and ajh. Basically anyone who can.

Site design and layout - Reaper and Tyla. You guys work together on it. Give me a final layout as a Fireworks file and I'll take it from there

Content - Andy/Bob, and everyone else here

We need some webspace, I'll get some at Freedom2Surf once their servers come back online. They're a very good server for what we want to do. If anyone else wants to help out, that's great.

Any more suggestions would be welcome.

WOW. Just went to the Site Rob, and there seems to be a slight problem with the MySQL Bits.

I just discovered a hideous bug with writing articles but it's OK.

We now have a previewer function whilst writing articles. I *really* suggest people use it and appreciate how valuable it is to prevent any more *cough* c***-ups. :-D

I like the design, and the Login feature as well, works great ... good job you've done there.

Actually, I'm thinking of having a "create a colour scheme" feature for people who... want to. It wouldn't be updated live (because that would be stupidly slow, yet possible) but people could send them to me and I include them. That way, everyone can have a site to their tastes.

I like the idea of sites that 'evolve' the more you use them, or the longer you stay on them. I've tried to make one which you could make look more or less futuristic. It starts off as pencil drawings and you can control it so it becomes more shiny, metallic and stuff.

Well, he's done design and coding, and freely admits that he's better as a codemonkey - another design would be welcome I'm sure, if anyone else could be bothered to do one..

I was a bit disappointed with the design. If it was a girl it would have a "nice personality".

The website looks great. He's done a lot of work on it and everything is working brilliantly. The coding is also superb, he's done really well and the admin features you lot cant see is also excellent.

Well done Rob mate, keep it up.
