"We need a website"

Right. The web design forum here needs a website, for posting all sorts of advice, links, news etc. A "community" website. It should be interactive and fully display the best of our skills. So:

Coding - Me, cjh and ajh. Basically anyone who can.

Site design and layout - Reaper and Tyla. You guys work together on it. Give me a final layout as a Fireworks file and I'll take it from there

Content - Andy/Bob, and everyone else here

We need some webspace, I'll get some at Freedom2Surf once their servers come back online. They're a very good server for what we want to do. If anyone else wants to help out, that's great.

Any more suggestions would be welcome.

Don't bother, it'll be useless. When I start jamming it with code it'll be totally messed up. When it comes to the format though it'll probably be a lot like yours.

Thats cool, thanx, so if everyone else likes it, then I'll make some changes to co-inside with the Site Design.

Just whiped it up as a quick idea, it's for the Free Scripts area, just a little idea for the layout. Obviously the colour shceme would be changed to fit the site, but layout wise, is it ok???

Got any ideas on how to change it, improve it??

Not sure about the blue, but if you can give me the raw image file in some format (Fireworks?) I'll have a fiddle :)

I've done a slightly updated version, same address.

I think I said the next was wrong. Basically, it was just a shape idea and messing with a few effects. The texture is totally wrong and I'm going to do some better ones later.

Yeah, what tyla said, the text is unreadable, and it's too big and clunky.
