There'll be 4 slots for each zone, it seemed best to just keep it to quarters instead of doing 5+ which I think is too many.
If you wanted to advertise in a zone and there arent any ads already, then you get 100% =), 50% if there are 2 banners rotating. So I wont have any affiliate banners or (your ad here) banners.
> Have you got any customers in the pipe-line?
Yes, a couple and I have quite a few contacts. I'm actually looking forward to it because for the last 2 years I've been looking for suitable sites to advertise on. So I know what a customer wants from a publisher.
> A comic based on you, brilliant :)
Yep, I've been working on this webcomic for 2 years, and Ive been preparing another one since 2001 (which I hope to launch after this site).
It'll just be a weekly thing and I'd like to have a few months worth already done so I can concentrate on other things during the start up. I'm hoping the webcomic will help promote the site, especially to the anime/webcomic fans of which there are millions. =)
Aswell as my photography I'll be showing off my artwork and animations.
Have you got any customers in the pipe-line?
A comic based on you, brilliant :)

heh, if you did that with a more expensive camera or a DSLR, then yeah it'll break easily. =)
I did have a proper film SLR, but when I sat on the sofa, it fell off and broke =(

Pay-per-date* =) though I did think about adding pay-per-view and pay-per-click, but then I wanted to keep the script simple.
I think it's a good starter as I wont know how many impressions and clicks I'll get each day. So it would be disappointing if campaigns lasted just 2 days or 2 months.
Most webcomic websites are pay-per-date aswell. Did I mention that my site will have a webcomic based on myself and my 'adventures'? =)
* - pay per week
Anyway, back to your web site - are your ads going to be pay-per-view or pay-per-click?
When it comes to MP, you wont really notice much difference, unless you're doing very large prints. The lens is probably more important =)

Thanks =)
You'll have to post some, I'm always trying to get the others to post some photos too.
At the moment I'm using the best camera I can afford. Which is only £60 =(
It's a fujifilm finepix a500, 5.1Mp
It's not great, but it was cheap and does what I want it to. As soon as I have the money, I'm buying a Canon 5d =) or whatevers just as good that doesnt cost £1000s. The 400d looks nice.
Postgresql is basically another database, like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc, but as I've never used it myself, won't know what sort of changes would be required to any scripts. PHP does include functions to work with it though, in a similar manor that it does for MySQL, though not sure how well it can be utilised via Perl.
I'm no expert photographer, but I'm keen to learn =) Sorry about the quality of the photo. Flickr fiddled with it a bit.
Oh and this was taken on Monday.
