Oh that's good then. I noticed other sites like digg were using them. Actually I think they're google ads. Oh well as long as it's fine then it's okay. =)

I know =) I wanted to know if I could change this

<script SRC="http://###########/zone1.js"></script>

to this

<script SRC="http://###########/zone1.js" />

Or would should I just leave it as it is?

How come you need to resubmit a visa? =) You want to stay in America? Sure that'd be great, thanks Garin. ^^

"Also I don't like leaving tags empty".

Could you expand on that a little?

Just out of curiosity, do you know much Perl and / or PHP yourself? If you're just downloading / commissioning your scripts, rather than putting them together yourself, why restrict your site to only use Perl?

If you pay less attention to what a script does, rather than how it's done under the bonnet, you may save yourself quite a few headaches.

Weather here was again lovely today :) You should have gone out today, I've just seen on the news that it's going to rain tomorrow ... and never ever stop :)

Well theres always the argument about requiring javascript to display stuff but its good enough for google ads so I'm sure its fine. The other benefit of using javascript is that it helps obfuscate the ads from ad blockers. :)

Not sure what you mean, that isnt an empty tag.

Well in couple of weeks I have to go back to the UK to resubmit a visa application. Maybe I can give you some help then.

Was it the WebAdverts one? I'd like to us that one, but because it does so much I'd be worried if errors were to happen and I start getting complains from advertisers. Then I'd be in trouble. Also the fact that this version is 5 years old =S

I thought I'd go with the HTML Rotate one. Very basic, but as you can see on the demo, it makes creating groups easier. Where as the other script, seemed to have the zone thing as a last minute feature. And I'd have to list all the zones in a .pl file...

@zones = (zone1, zone2, zone3, zone4, zone5, zone6, zone7, zone8, zone9, zone10);

For the HTML Rotate one, it asks me to place this somewhere. I'm guessing inside the HEAD tags.

<script SRC="http://###########/zone1.js"></script>

and this in the the ad position.

<script LANGUAGE="JavaScript" TYPE="text/javascript">
<!--
zone1();
// -->
</script>

Would using this javascript be okay for the ads? Or will I encounter any problems?

Also I dont like leaving tags empty. Can I do this?

<script SRC="http://###########/zone1.js" />

I'm not sure if I can do the same with the other one though. Can I?

How about some of you PHPers learn some Perl then I can start paying you. I'd pay Garin to do it for me but he's busy in Texas with his girlfriend and I already owe him lots of money for his past help.

I really hope not going PHP was the right thing to do =(

Although it's rather nice outside I didnt go out and take any more photos. I'm still kinda tired from yesterday. I'm taking this project really seriously, which is why I've been working out these past few weeks.

Lots of cycling, rowing, weightlifting and walking. We did tons of walking in Singapore, you're on your feet more than half the day and if I'm turning this into a job then I have to do twice as much. Which is why I need to be in good shape before I start. =)

Just been looking at the script actually. Why dont you try uploading all the files and give us the links. Its possible we can spot whats wrong with it.

Yes and no ^^ I got 181 photos today. Some really good ones, but didn't get round to doing some areas of the town as I was busy exploring places I've never been before. So it was quite refreshing to discover new scenes. =D

Some of the good photos from today are close up ones of Tewkesbury Abbey. I think some might be print worthy. So I'm happy about that as I took some photos lying on the ground =D I was caught but it was by a nice man who's restoring another side of the Abbey. He told me some facts that I'll mention about on my site.

Oh the 181, I might end up using 20 of them, which is quite good.

I was walking around for over 3 hours. I'm even starting to get a tan. Well actually I dont tan well, I turn red. So I'm going to have to wear sun block next time I go out in the sun.

If the weathers nice tomorrow I'll go out again.

As for my other work, I gave up on the idea of using rentacoder, I didn't want to take any risks. So it looks like I'll be using that freebie script that just creates zones. I'll just have to pray it'll work on the day. =(

"Aswell as my photography I'll be showing off my artwork and animations".

Adobe have apparently put together a new flash video control system that you might want to look at for your animations, as it could allow you to sell advertising within it (like TV channels do).

Another 200 photos taken today. I ran out of room =( and had to change the batteries during my walk.

I got quite a few good pictures and I even came across a swans nest with 8 eggs =D I've never seen one so close up before. I took several photos, but I didnt want to get too close so they're not as good as I'd like.

Tomorrow I'm hoping the weather is good so I can take lots of photos of the tudor buildings that Tewkesbury is famous for =)
