But that's just me.
I don't hate Microsoft (pls explain, all you anti-Gates monkeys exactly WHY you detest Microsoft, instead of just saying that because it's fashionable to)

The more I see of the X-Box, the more impressed I am.
I dont care if it costs £299, so did the PS2.
I can afford that.

I will buy whatever console appeals to me.
Which is why I am bypassing the Gamecube.
Not because "It sucks!" but because I don't have any interest in Nintendo.

Did anyone not understand that? I dont hate the Gamecube, I just have no interest. I dont care what anyone else does, I like the look of the X-Box and think I'm getting one.
I enjoy my PS2 just as much as I thought I would.
I enjoy my PC a lot more, and the X-Box looks like something I'm interested in.

Now all you Nintendo/Sony Fanboys can flame away and tell me why the X-Box "sucks"
Because I haven't heard one valid reason that stands up to scrutiny.

I never knew that Mantis but that is another factor that points me towards the X-Box. I don't tend to get any mags anymore and therefore I've seen nothing about the X-Box for yonks apart from other websites, but the PS2 looks hopeful because of the range of games that are availible and with MGS2 just around the corner it makes it a near impossible decision as I don't just want to get a console because of it having certain aspects that are better then the next one.

No, the Xbox has a Hard drive and Broadband modem inside the console itself, whereas for the PS2 you have to buy these add ons seperatly and it all look cluttered. The only add you need to get is the small DVD remote. You need this to so you can watch DVD films.

You havn't held the controller, have you? The design of the controller was made by gamers for gamers acually. Many regular games players(200 I think) had an imput into its design so in theory it should be very good. Also for any of you out there who don't like its size, a new smaller version of the controller was unvieled at the Tokyo Gmae show for jappenise gamers. Altough nothing official has been onounced it is expected to be launched in the US as well.

Its big, ok thats a valid point. But we all have large video recorders underneath our tell so whats the fuss?

Its ugly. I think it looks 100 times better than the PS2, but thats my opinion.

Pointless? How can a console be pointless? Thats a stupid thing to say. Games consoles are there to entertain us, and the Xbox looks more entertaining to me than the PS2 or GC.

No friends? Sega love the Xbox very much, and developers are really happy to work on it. It give them more freedom to be creative.

You will not find games such as Tekken 4, Ridge Racer, or Time Splitters on any other console.

You Fool! Shows what you know! Ridge Racer is confermed for the GC and Xbox and Ridge Racer 64 was released for the N64. Timesplitters 2 is also confermed for the Xbox.

I'm sorry I really don't like people who don't know what they are talking about or simply have the wrong facts.

Now, why did you think those games where only coming out for the PS2? The answer is single format games magazines.
They hype up and write about all the good stuff about their particular console, then print biased opinions about others.
Read multiformat games mags like CVG and Gamesmaster, they tell it like it is.

Oh, and I don't like all these stupid anti Xbox messages all over the place. Open you mind a little bit all of you and visit some decent Xbox fansites. I garrantie you will be impressed. Every night for the past month I have been reading all about the Xbox and it looks stunning, Microsoft are trying really hard to make it a success. The games apppeal to me so much and their are so many exlusive games for it. Halo, Dead or Alive 3, Jetsetradio future, Project Gotham Racing and Munchs Oddessy, all fantastic games in their own right.

I just wish all of you could share my enthusaum for the console, instead of kicking and spitting on it for no good reason.

I'm running the trial version of XP at the moment and have had no problems at all. Overall, it is a very impressive OS and would recommend anyone who was thinking about getting it, to get it.
