Winner of a game of his choice - mickey, for his suggestion of a 'Gameaday Receipt' idea, of which many of you suggested, but mickey got their first. Well done, mickey.
Runners up prize of a DVD of his choice goes to Aliboy, for his 'Santa' idea. It's well put and a nice festive idea, so it's definitely worthy of a prize. Congrats.
Thanks to everyone for all your entries, we read them all and found them to be very useful. Peace out, and complaints to the usual address. Cheers
Ali

the picture of riona (from ff8) which you have already used in your mag. the one where she has her index finger to her lips as if she is saying 'shush'.
Explanation
Designed to draw new visitors in by mentioning G.A.D
And the thing you need to understand is that the only reason people turn to the back is because of seeing what next months addition has to offer of that type of mag. So you would have to consider that.
Then there is the problem with the colouring of the just plain white background, I hate to bring it up but Gameplay take 2 pages in the center of the magazine that is bright and bold. The colours of yellow attract the peopleís eyes and the way it was set out just basically said to me ëREAD MEí. Whilst with your adverts to be honest I read just a few bits of them and ignored it. The ads first crossed my mind as some company trying to pull your leg, the free gift when joining. It just doesnít seem realistic.
My advise to you would be to enter all of the interesting parts of the company. Of course the PCís would have to be mentioned along with the critics comments about them. Mention the awards that have been picked up and have them designed like a winners badge on the page. Bright colours will be needed to attract the human eye. So where it normally has the list in a white background try and vary this so something letís say attractive.
As for advertising Gameaday.co.uk, well thatís easy. All you need to do is put across that you really do give away two free games and one DVD each day. As when I first read the ad I thought ëWhat a load of crap, just another internet company conning youí. I found the site by mistake through totalgames.net and saw the win any DVD of your choice, thinking it would be an answer this question and weíll get back to you site I was gratefully surprised when I discovered the actually content.
So perhaps in your mag ads the thought of having a few words from pb and then it saying he is the number one winner so far with 23 wins, at time of press. The thought of having won 23 games will cross peopleís minds as something superb and will attract them. If you want to advertise online then the ads should be flashing. ëThink you deserve a game?í * Flash * ëAre you good enough for a free game?í * Flash* ëThen come along to Gameaday.co.uk and prove yourselfí.
Ok ok the above was pretty corny but nonetheless it could be used along those sort of lines. I think youíre on the right lines with your example though and that could be a good campaign idea. ëCome and chat me upí. Because it is true, that is what you are doingÖ..chatting to people and mainly because of the temptation of a new game, some of the posts are long and thought out.
What about ëChatterboxí? * Flash * ëLove Games?í * Flash * ëThen come along to Gameaday.co.uk to win a game of your choice everyday.
And that concludes my advice.
THEE WHO PLAYS WINS

Game and Film Prizes
Several games and film cases making a square around the words
Explanation:
It's simple and believable. A bit like Nokia game. When I saw believable if you say you give 2 games and films a day I doubt much of the population will believe you and not bother going to your site as they feel there is a catch.
But if you suggest like here that you can win prizes not exactly saying how many people will go to your site to check it out.
A game is awaiting you in one of our many competitions. Some of our regular visitors have won 10 prizes, one even 22. We give two games and a film a day
Where have you been?
Thee who tries wins.
It's the rule.
Explanation:
Give some real statistics to excite them and then I thought the slogan "Thee who tries wins" pretty sums up the site. I think everyone who has come to this site wanting a game has got one and those who haven't well eventually.
It's kind of like a challenge for the audience and attracts them.
On another note I think you should adopt the slogan "Thee who tries wins" to the gameaday site. I think it would be a really good slogan. What do you think?
