Okay, an absolute torrent of entries for this one, it too ka good couple of hours to read them all, and I had to kill several trees for the paper to print them all out, so no moaning about the winners.
Winner of a game of his choice - mickey, for his suggestion of a 'Gameaday Receipt' idea, of which many of you suggested, but mickey got their first. Well done, mickey.
Runners up prize of a DVD of his choice goes to Aliboy, for his 'Santa' idea. It's well put and a nice festive idea, so it's definitely worthy of a prize. Congrats.
Thanks to everyone for all your entries, we read them all and found them to be very useful. Peace out, and complaints to the usual address. Cheers

I barely noticed the adverts in PC Gamer, they just lack something. Have you looked at some of the other game adverts? Now I've noticed that larger pictures can do the trick better than text so I would suggest that you try that. Problem is that you have no pictorial representation of your site, so you need a gimmick. How about you try something like "Cheap Thrills" and have a picture of a computer showing Quake3 or a similar action game (Max Payne may be better) with a wad of cash next to the mouse. No people though, they just get in the way. Maybe that's too cheesy, I could probably think of something better.
