Timesplitters 2

I don't know why, I finished Zelda and decided to return to my older titles rather than lunge into any new ones (Pokemon soon yay). I should really play the still far from complete Metroid but that bores me so I had a laugh a minute blast on the frankly excellent and addictive Timesplitters 2, had some mates over to play it too. This is turning out just like Perfect Dark on how much I play it.

So go on what have you been playing? and why?

Not true, there are instances where the team is split for various reasons. And the Drachma/Gilder/Enrique thing was cool. Obviously, Drachma is the best and was the one I took into Soltis with me.

Oh and I take you're point about Sheena's Overlimit. It was pretty useless way of enabling Summoning. I must have fought 500+ battles and seen about 15 summons in the entire game? And they weren't hugely effective anyway most of the time.

No, they're different games, I like Skies' story more, probably, but I got more fun out of battling in Tales, although that story was awesome too.

It was short though.


Tales had a lot of good twists - twists are good.
But I missed most of the sidequests because I never knew where to look, the sidequests in Skies are so obvious, but you had random battles in Skies.
More characters in Tales, you could change Lloyd out if you wanted (I never did though), whereas you always ALWAYS fought with Vyse, Fina and Aika (urgh).


I was more compelled to play Tales though.

Oh, and Tales is better than Skies.

I didn't really see the point in the Summon Spirits though, Sheena used Shadow agaisnt Luna, Luna against Yggdrasil, then Origin against Mithos.


It's becuase she almost NEVER went into Overlimit.

I used the Longshot to hit his tail, that appeared to work.
It was pretty easy, and I completed it without the white-edged hearts.

I did have 3 fairies though, then I got even more from the fianl battle.

Just come up against boss of Torvus Bog (great name for a place but yeh). Funkay.

I'm FINALLY playing Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and I must say it is a great game so far. Only done a little bit mind. Hope all of it is like this.

I'm slowly getting Final fantasy 7 out of the way, although i'm not on the 3rd disc yet, just the second at the Big materia collecting section.
Also tried PoP2 with some cheats now that i've finished, and the only annoying thing about the inf. health cheat is when you fall down onto spikes, you can't get back up at all unless you have some sands of time to reverse it for you.

Been playing Feel the Magic which I borrowed off a mate. Some genuinely innovative little games on there and it's Japanese quirky humour really appeals to me. So yeh, much liking and good to see the DS's microphone being used at last.
