Somewhere in the region on £800.
Now I am taking my girlfriend to Paris, buying a fridge (possibly the little one from SR) and adopting a loris from London Zoo.
But that leaves me with about £500 at least to spend, if not £600.
So should I get an Xbox?
I already have Splinter Cell on GC and any mulitformat games I would just buy on that.
Should I use some of my money on an box?
1.7Ghz, with a vanilla GeForce3 and 256MB of RAM.
I can't really be bothered to upgrade, and seeing as most of the newest PC games are coming out on Xbox anyway, I thought it might be a good idea to get one.
Jedi Knight 3 looks damn good, and I definitely want to play it. All I really need is for someone to release a keyboard and mouse for the Xbox. But I'm sure I'd get used to the controls soon enough. I'll think it through some more and maybe buy an Xbox magazine.
What would you guys reccomend?
Thanks for all the help, by the way.

Project Gotham Racing 2
Halo 2
Fable
KOTOR
Also gerrid - Check out "BC" - Looks amazing.
Halo 2 will be the best game on Xbox ever. No questions. It will be.
Check IGN and TeamXbox - They'll show you the way.
And get PGR - You WILL like it. Aswell as Moto GP2.
MIDTOWN MADNESS 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Star Wars : KOTOR
Jedi Knight 3
Halflife 2
Halo 2
Conker : Live & Uncut
SWAT Global Assault
Dead man's hand
There's plenty more, my mind's gone blank though. The main reason I got an Xbox was because I love 1st person shooters and the Gamecube catalogue is hardly ram packed. Also Xbox Live is great, as long as you can put up with a few assholes online, you should enjoy yourself.
Though if you own a decent PC and prefer the controls, that pretty much eliminates half the Xbox line-up.

You've obviously not played Morrowind then...
He gave me some suggestions and I said what I thought about them.

Thankyou, I was thinking of the new PC game, I think that begins with an F as well, but I don't remember the name.

I know this, and that's why I was considering getting an Xbox

I have. Most of the big games I know a lot about, because I've read up about the PC versions. Deus Ex 2: Invisible War for instance. And Doom 3, Quake IV (not that there's much to read there)
