I will soon have a rather large sum of money.
Somewhere in the region on £800.
Now I am taking my girlfriend to Paris, buying a fridge (possibly the little one from SR) and adopting a loris from London Zoo.
But that leaves me with about £500 at least to spend, if not £600.
So should I get an Xbox?
I already have Splinter Cell on GC and any mulitformat games I would just buy on that.
Should I use some of my money on an box?

Doom 3 is already looking and running smoother on the Xbox. This was reported at E3 and from the video footage I have of both version the Xbox one is shaping up nicer. I have no idea what Half Life 2 and Deus EX 2 will end up like but so far I haven't been disappointed with any PC to Xbox conversions. A lot were old games to be ported but they looked and ran better than the PC versions.

And what you was saying about most games can be purchased for PC....Put it this way. Half life 2 will require a top-end graphics card to get it looking decent. £200+. Then you'd probably need a faster processor to let it run nice n smooth - £80+. Add a tad more RAM - £30+.

The Xbox its cheaper all around.

Star Wars - KOTOR - look into that one aswell.

Its been done sooooooooo many times before though. It would be better to just look through some of the old posts.

Why should I go looking at release lists of meaningless names when there is a whole forum of people much more knowledgeable than I at my fingertips, most of whom are willing to help me.
If you don't want to help then just shut up and don't post a reply in the thread.

On the other hand, the Xbox doesn't have too much to offer if you're a big fan of PC gaming. Personally, I can't stand it unless it's a RTS, but that's just me. It seems you'd be best off just buying a decent graphics card methinks.

I could wait until all those titles are released and get a nice bundle, then.
Certainly Shenmue 3 is alluring, as I love Shenmue to bits.
KOTOR also looks like my sort of game, as does Splinter Cell 2 (w00t).
