Also, while they may share a lot of games, certain titles would be preferable on Xbox, and others on PC.

Brilliant.
The point is, he's choosing two systems that have the same games, bar a few exclusives.
And
"This is a Final Fantasy game, the first on a Nintendo for a while, not shifting units by the truck load. "
I know you like to think you're clever, but FF:CC not shifting truck loads of 'Cubes may just be down to the fact that it was only released in Japan today.

I like your selective quoting. What he said made perfect sense until you removed half of it. He basically said that this halt in production would be the deciding factor on which platform would get the chop. It's all in the "now I'm buying PC games again..."

Erm...Isn't Nintendo's inability to advertise properly that got them into this situation in the first place?

You know what's funny about that?
You say you only want two gaming systems, and yet the three games you mentioned are on the PC and Xbox.
I swear some of you just play games because you want to have an argument on the internet (all be it, a very geeky one).

No, you do the math.
Nintendo has back stock, a large amount judging by this action. What new game released before the supposed Autumn will catapult sales ? PN03 ? Don't make me laugh. They have Mario Golf in the US, Crystal Chronicles in Japan, yet they have backstock.
2 of their biggest titles are not generating sales to absorb the backstock. This is a Final Fantasy game, the first on a Nintendo for a while, not shifting units by the truck load. That's a problem. In the US, the same goes for Mario Golf. Not shifting units.
This stop will be for much longer.
Officially, Autumn starts in a couple of weeks.
They've delayed production of the console until Autumn.
You do the Maths.
