So I created a new one, for those that didn't throw it against the wall months ago.
I thought we could start up some kind of small forum league, featuring the best five scores for each chapter and a total. Something like this:
Chapter One:
1. Blank: 89 000 000 000 000
2. Valentino Rossi: 1
3. Whitestripes: 0
4. Cookie Monster: No score low enough
5. Someone else with a vague interest: Even lower.
Only there probably aren't enough people willing. But anyway, we need a new Ikaruga thread, so here it is. My chapter one highscore is now 3.5 million, 113 chain, if anyone cares.

My chaining has improved quite a bit, but it still tends to fall apart when the ships appear that look a little like trains.

You probably need to install DivX5. It's the most popular codec as far as I know.

Codec is basicaly a video decompression program (similar in theory to winzip in very basic terms) will find a link for what you need to download tonight. Offer still stands of burning them onto CD if you want.
I'm actually downloading it at college, and the download times seem to be faster than 56k but slower than broadband.
I don't have a clue about these sort of things, which is why I'm having trouble probably. For instance, I don't even know what a codec is.

sorry, didn't get chance last night will find out tonight if your still having trouble.
You must be using some "older" codecs, mine plays OK, will let you know what codecs I'm using when I get home later.
Am I right in thinking you have a 56k connection, not BB ? either way just drop me your address to [email protected] and I will burn all the Ikaruga vids (and codecs) onto a CD for ya.

Valentino, I visited your site today and downloaded Snap's first video. Thing is, only the audio came on. It played it like a music file, with those weird shifting patterns media player puts on instead of the visuals. Am I doing something wrong here, or is there a problem with the site?
