So I created a new one, for those that didn't throw it against the wall months ago.
I thought we could start up some kind of small forum league, featuring the best five scores for each chapter and a total. Something like this:
Chapter One:
1. Blank: 89 000 000 000 000
2. Valentino Rossi: 1
3. Whitestripes: 0
4. Cookie Monster: No score low enough
5. Someone else with a vague interest: Even lower.
Only there probably aren't enough people willing. But anyway, we need a new Ikaruga thread, so here it is. My chapter one highscore is now 3.5 million, 113 chain, if anyone cares.

I still enjoy Ikaruga greatly but won't get a chance to play it until ..... but you are spurring me on to beat my scores

This'll be my fourth post in a row, and I've not even hit the button too many times by mistake. I guess I was right about nobody being interested I Ikaruga anymore.
....Anyway, I am, so today I got 7.3 million twice in a row, which gets me to 21st on the UK highscores. Also I got a new chapter one score of 3.82 million with a 122 chain. Whoop.

Got 7 million today. A new highscore overall, but I didn't get a best score in any individual chapter. I'm just off to enter my code into the rankings.
Woo! Beat 3 million today before the boss battle. 71 on the clock after the boss, giving me a grand total of 3,748,040 on chapter one. 119 chain.
I tried it once, found it a bit pointless and didn't bother again.
Prototype Mode does take some getting used to, I'm not that keen on it
I didnt mind getting the pictures, i got 'em on my first time on trial mode.
Oh yeah, this game knows how to reward you alright. 5 hours gruelling play and you get some pictures. 10 hours...some more pictures. 15 hours? You get to listen to the music you've just been listening to for the last fifteen hours, only without playing the game at the same time. 20 hours, and you can play using an inferior ship. Yes!
