Despite naff graphics I am loving this Skies game. Picked it up along with 3 other games (see my £50 in cambridge thread) for a mere £19 and I can't imagine a closer RPG alternative to Zelda. Vast, expansive, encourages exploration and a deep story. In fact as storylines go it moves at a far faster pace than that Wind Waker game.
Great game, feels a bit like Starfox to play (not quite sure why) but of course i mean that in a good way.
If you can find it buy it. You won't regret it. Roll on Skies 2.

Yay, played this for most of the weekend. Seems alright, but the ship 2 ship battles thus far are a little... crap?
Well I like eternum coz it can instantly kill ZB's and that really comes in handy when your fighting the big cheese of ZB at soltis coz he can be a real pain if you don't, but i founf a way of alternating turning the smaller ones to stone using Fina's Luna Glyph Special move.

2nd time though and I am so much better. I never run from fights, I am about 3 levels higher at each point than I was before, and I know exactly what magic paths I'm going for.

Well I don't really know the srength ratio of Eternum compared to Cutlass Fury, I think it's more but i can't be sure as i have only used it a couple of times.
Yeah, but Cutlass Fury costs 7sp.

Eternum is brilliant, it's the last Silver spell and it rocks, it cost 15 Spirit points and instantly kills all non boss creatures (Including those annoying Zyvilin Bane guys) and does the same amount of damage as Cutlass fury on the main bosses who are immune to one-hit-KO's.
Pfft, by Ramirez I didn't even cast Finas regen spell. I just got Prophecy every 3 turns and kiced his but.
Prophecy/Pirates Wrath are the only way to go on big big big bosses.

Brace yourself:
Max out your SP and you can do 2 new attacks - Prophecy and Blue Rouges.
For Prophecy the whole team need to be alive - you all join up and attack together - a very massive attack. Every enemy on screen hit for about 5,000.
For Blue Rouges every member of your crew attacks or heals you (depending on who it is) Pretty good - but Prophecy kills it.
You have to have your own ship before you can do either of them.
